With the sun setting here at Bready, the extra half an hour does the trick and we finally have a winner in the Hanley Energy IPC.
The Lightning have won by an Innings and 4 runs to move to the top of the table.
At one point it did look like the game would go into the final day, yet when Balbirnie bowled Gillespie, it was a steady stream of batsmen to the crease.
Balbirnie ended up with four wickets for 23, excellent figures for the part-time bowler. Maybe he should get rid of the part-time tag?
The win gives the Lightning 23 points and more then doubles their points, puts them in prime position to win the Championship.
For the Warriors, its a long cold winter ahead of them.
