10.12pm Handshakes all round, and quite an achievement from England to seal this series, especially after a pretty heavy thumping in the opening contest. The hero of the hour, none other than Jos Buttler, whose turbo-charged century put England out of reach. It was a valiant chase in the circumstances, but 46-ball centuries are generally hard to trump ...

atifsardarkhan: "Only website where you come across the most interesting comments. I'm sure many others would come for the same reason :D BTW! WELL PLAYED TEAM ENGLAND and hope our team find some better middle order players." You're very welcome, it's been a pleasure ...

So, England win by 84 runs, and claim an impressive 3-1 series win. If Buttler isn't the Man of the Match I will eat the TV. Have a read of George Dobell's match report, being uploaded as we speak. From Gnasher and myself, goodnight and don't forget to tune back in next week for the tour finale, the T20 series.

tossed up, driven, plucked low at short cover, and England have sealed the series! Or have they? A quick check upstairs to make sure it carried, but the fielders are in little doubt. A pretty futile faff, the umpire's soft signal was out, and sure enough, it is!

David R.: "Pardon the injection of mathematics but it's not less than a run a ball, and Pakistan can't technically win it in singles. The required run-rate is still over 7, and it only briefly dipped below 7 (to 6.85, as I recall)." Fair point, who's actually paying attention at this stage anyway?
