Unsurprisingly, Mohammad Nabi is Man of the Match for his knock - his first ton in ODIs. This series has come alive nicely today, and there will be renewed interest in the next match on Tuesday. Your commentator today has been Liam Brickhill, and I hope you've enjoyed my coverage. Look out for my match report in the next few minutes, and do join me again for the third game. Until then, goodbye!

imTurin: "it's really a major boost for Afgan Cricket.... I really want this team alongside with Ireland get some more crack with some major cricketing nations..... (y)"

4.55 pm This is more of what many expected from Afghanistan ahead of this series. Mohammad Nabi lead the way with his blazing hundred, which included six towering sixes, and then his team followed that up with a relentless display in the field. There was pace on the new ball, nagging lines and variations from the spinners even from 17-year old debutant legspinner Rashid Khan, and then a textbook display of reverse swing bowling by Dawlat Zadran at the death. Afghanistan have surged to a 58-run win, and it's 1-1 in the series!

Mohibullah Raza: "Here in Afghanistan every one is celebrating there win love you Afghan tigers"

Aftab Alam to Nyumbu, OUT

all done! Nyumbu slaps to point, but he doesn't want to run. Panyangara, however, does and keeps going even as his partner tries to send him back. Eventually Nyumbu decides he must go, but by then Aftab has the ball in his hands and he makes a mess of the stumps at the non-striker's end, rocketing a full strength throw at them from about half a foot away. An emphatic way to level the series!

Panyangara backs away and hacks a length delivery through the covers without much timing.

tip-and-run single for Nyumbu, just behind point to get off the mark. Ironic cheers from the crowd.

Aftab Alam to Masakadza, OUT

and another! Zimbabwe are crumbling away. Aftab followed Dawlat's cue and fired down a fast yorker right at the batsman's toes. Masakadza swung right over the top of it, and his middle stump was knocked clear out of the ground.

Zadran to Jongwe, OUT

fierce yorker! Jongwe wanted to drive through extra cover, but this fast, reverse swinging yorker zipped under his bat in a flash. Dawlat Zadran celebrates, and Afghanistan close in on a series-leveling win.

Zadran to Masakadza, 1 run

a full toss on middle is punted down the ground, but just the one run. Afghanistan won't mind that, as it means Masakadza may well be on strike again in the next over.

Salman Afghan: "big pressure on Jongwe now! now the rotation of strike will be an issue for Zim and he will not be able to strike every ball."

Zadran to Masakadza, no run

squeezed out to point, right off the toe end as it left him late through the air

45.3
Zadran to Masakadza, no run

definite, late reverse swing for Dawlat, away from the left-hander. Again it's full and wide outside off, and again he can't lay bat to ball.

45.2
Zadran to Masakadza, no run

full and wide outside off, and Masakadza can't get close with a booming drive.

Mid-on and mid-off are up for Masakadza.

1
Zadran to Jongwe, 1 run

a low full toss, on off stump, is slapped to mid-off.

Jongwe is practicing his heave to midwicket ... One feels he's got to face almost all of the strike if Zimbabwe are even to get close. Over 12 an over needed...

Aftab Alam to Jongwe, FOUR runs

Jongwe, meanwhile, is unfazed! Another length delivery is flapped up and over square leg, right into the gap, and away for four.

zimcricketforum: "Is Jongwe urging Chigumbura to start playing some shots? This strategy makes no sense." --- Bad time for bad form..

Aftab Alam to Chigumbura, OUT

Chigumbura departs! He'd not been able to find the boundary even once in this innings, and needed to hit out at every ball. This was the ball to hit - a length delivery on middle and leg - but he picked out the fielder at deep midwicket. An off, off-colour innings. Though Jongwe remains, this should be the game in the bag for Afghanistan.

Jongwe finds the vital boundary! He was aiming for wide long on, but the ball curved in to him and flew off the inside half of the bat and down to long leg. They all count!

crunched out of the middle of the bat, but straight down to the long on fielder. In case you hadn't noticed, this is already Jongwe's highest score in internationals.

HAMDARD Hamdull: "Chigumbura is more dangerous than we can think of him. He has issued the free license to Jongwe and he himself is staying calm in crease and giving Jongwe more confidence to enjoy his freedom. Afghanistan should fear Elton's strategy." ---- Still 74 off 36 looks too tall a task

Zadran to Chigumbura, 1 leg bye

with fine leg up, Chigumbura aims for a paddle sweep. But Dawlat sent down a slower ball that he didn't quite read, and he's struck on the pad. Outside off, by the looks of things, and they steal a single.
