"I can smell the 5th ODI tied" Wouldn't that be a lovely finish! To find out if Raj Thapa's prediction come true, do join us on Friday same time. But until then, this is Alagappan Muthu saying sayonara

Kane Williamson is the Man of the Match "It was just about executing the plans we had, and just trying to build partnerships. Its such a big ground that you can score freely. They made it quite difficult and it was great to come back with the ball in the second part of the Pakistan innings. Whenever you play in different parts of the world you adapt your game and maybe we've been here so long, I'm getting used to playing like [a subcontinent batsman]. Its important, we look at the final game as a one-off, recover quickly and get back out there. Pakistan kept coming, they showed consistently how good they are. To have 300 on the board on a wicket that was tiring, they pushed us and it was nice to pick up some timely wickets at the end and close it out"

We tried to do our best so that we could win and try and lessen the grief of the families affected by Peshawar as much as possible Shahid Afridi says I was very happy to see Younis Khan's batting. The fielding and the bowling aspects are still of concern to us but the batting has always been strong and that is a positive for us

11.00 pm There couldn't have been too many people who would have predicted a finish as close as this. Adam Milne and Matt Henry were near unplayable at the start of the innings but Younis Khan persisted to make a determined century. He didn't care about his strike-rate, he knew his presence in the middle mattered more and Pakistan had the firepower lower down to capitalise. They almost did with Shahid Afridi playing a blinder and Sarfraz Ahmed showing great pluck. But Kane Williamson, after scoring a century himself to set up the 300-run target, attacked with his trump cards to hike the run-rate up back up past 9 and 10 in the last few overs and his strike bowlers provided him with some wickets as well

David: "Fantastic finish. Impressive closing by NZ's young bowlers. Vettori's still adds a lot too!"

haris: "i'm not sad for pak team defeat i'm happy they played this match under this circumstances nd fight their way to win it though they lose in the end but they don't lose hope #we_are_united"

DanielAlexander: "Series is all square across formats, what a tie breaker the 5th ODI be "

Henry to Anwar Ali, 1 run

that's it, just a single to long-on and New Zealand have made it 2-2! What a game it has been! And it ends with the bowler nailing a full ball on middle

Vettori has a word of confidence for Henry

Henry to Anwar Ali, no run

Williamson and Henry in conversation about the field. Long-on in place, third man comes up

Henry to Tanvir, no run

short ball, it's the slower one as well. Tanvir wasn't ready for that and he's missed it. Lovely height on the ball, came up to his neck

So that's 16 off the final over. Who will bowl it? Matt Henry has the ball in hand
