Well that's all from us for tonight, and all the analysis on the day's play will follow soon after. Till then. Ciao ciao.

"The bowlers did well," MS Dhoni says. "They learnt from the last time, but the batsmen played too many shots. I think the shot selection was not right. The SA attack are very accurate and they keep bowling in the same areas and that's what makes them different. Overall, there was not much for the bowlers, not much seam or swing, so that's why I say they bowled well. The pitch was a nice one and the target was a decent one, and we didn't execute our plans with the bat. I don't get too much worried about the losses, how we stand up from here is what i want to see. That will test our character."

"It was a very emotional day and I am glad we came out here and played good cricket," AB de Villiers says. "We have been searching for consistency for a long time and to do it against the No 1 team is a job well done. Quinton and Hash have been very good up front, we struggled towards the end. I though 230-240 was par score, so to get 280 was very good. Quinton de Kock is a very aggressive player, the day I met him, I thought this guys will go far."

Quinton de Kock is the Man of the Match. He says, "It's very satisfying. During tough times, people hate you, so in times like these, you have to enjoy yourselves. I was not so happy to take Dhoni's catch because at that stage, we were looking to get to the 20 over mark and I thought we didn't need a wicket then. "

What an annihilation this has been! 141-run loss followed by 134-run humiliation. The South African bowlers maintained their menacing intensity on a pitch that had half the venom of Jo'Burg. Defending a decent 280, they again terrorised the Indian top order to leave them in tatters within the first 10 overs. From then on, it was just a matter of time and they complete a series win with a game to play. Excellent batting by Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock, who gave South Africa another strong start, and both got their respective hundreds. They might not have been happy with the final total, but their bowlers made it look like a mountain. Dale Steyn nipped out Dhawan early, then softened up Kohli and all the fast bowlers feasted...

yogi d: "35.1 overs where SA lost their first wicket, at the same point India lost their 10th, that tells the story"

Sandeep: "Someone was attributing India's poor performance to the lack of match practices in SA and the grueling schedule etc. PAK went to SA after playing back to back matches in UAE and even with not much time to adjust to the new conditions, they performed much better! There is no excuse for getting exposed for our weaknesses!"

Rohail: "This series win is equally important for the South African cricket board. After all the arrogance, the bullying, months of schedule changing and dictation by the BCCI, their team still gets hammered and brought back to reality. Hope SA hammer all the nails in the coffin and win in all formats."

Tsotsobe to Mohammed Shami, OUT, and more sounds of leather on timber! The series has been wrapped with a slower ball that hits the off stump as the batsman looks to swing it away

Mohammed Shami b Tsotsobe 8 (21m 14b 0x4 0x6) SR: 57.14

Steyn to Yadav, OUT, not this time! Steyn takes the middle stump out of the ground! This was full, fast and straight. Umesh tried to whip it across the line, but was too slow

UT Yadav b Steyn 1 (6m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 20.00

Tsotsobe to Jadeja, OUT, AB you beauty! Jadeja gets a length delivery to which he throws his bat, he wanted to hit the sight screen, but this goes high and straight. AB de Villiers, however, lines himself up coming in from long on and leaps in the air to pick this one right on the edge. Wonderful judgment there from the SA captain

RA Jadeja c de Villiers b Tsotsobe 26 (63m 34b 1x4 1x6) SR: 76.47

haseeb: "@VVS.....dont we have enough glorification already that now you think Ashwin is the next great indian batsman? cricket isnt about 1 lucky shot"

Steyn to Ashwin, OUT, and it's over for Ashwin! Steyn gets the wicket with a wide delivery! It was a short ball wide outside off and the batsman wanted to pull it from there, he gets a faint tickle on this one. Similar to the way Rahane got out

R Ashwin c †de Kock b Steyn 15 (35m 26b 1x4 0x6) SR: 57.69

Steyn to Ashwin, FOUR runs, back of length delivery outside off and that's as good a shot as any. Ashwin stays upright and punches it easily through cover, off the back foot
McLaren to Jadeja, FOUR runs, he stays rooted to the crease and throws his bat at this short and wide delivery, finds the boundary at deep backward point
Morkel to Jadeja, SIX runs, whoa!!! Where did that come from! He steps out and gives the length delivery one mighty thwack! That has gone miles into the grass banks over cow corner
Morkel to Raina, OUT, oh that is some awesome catch! David Miller takes a stinger at cover! Raina moved his front leg out and blasted that length delivery towards cover. He timed it well and that was off the middle too. But Miller shows super reactions to bend down and take the low catch. Raina watches in disbelief for a few seconds before trudging off

SK Raina c Miller b Morkel 36 (64m 50b 3x4 0x6) SR: 72.00

McLaren to Raina, FOUR runs, another boundary, one of the more convincing pulls from Raina, and he finds the gap at deep backward square leg
Morkel to Raina, FOUR runs, on the pads this time and he shuffles across and tickles it fine on the leg side
Philander to Dhoni, OUT, great catch from QDK! It was just outside off, Dhoni didn't move much and pushed at it and managed a thick outside edge. It was probably going past the keeper and de Kock leapt to his right to take the low catch

MS Dhoni c †de Kock b Philander 19 (43m 31b 0x4 0x6) SR: 61.29

The groundsmen are lining up around the boundary

Duminy to Raina, FOUR runs, full on leg and Raina sweeps it past short fine leg for four
Philander to Raina, 1 run, he nudges this off his pads to the left of midwicket for a quick single and it's time for drinks

cris: "The Indian batsmen have been rattled by Jo'burg. All three wickets have fallen to innocuous deliveries. Very poor for the supposed best batting lineup in the world.." ---- Make it four now

Morkel to Rahane, OUT, short and wide and another wicket! This one was close to the wide marker, but Rahane, unlike two balls ago, chases this one. De Kock takes it and is the first one to appeal, then everyone appeals and the umpire raises the finger

AM Rahane c †de Kock b Morkel 8 (23m 17b 1x4 0x6) SR: 47.05

Morkel to Rahane, FOUR runs, nicely timed by Rahane, who hops on to his toes and gets over this length delivery to punch it through cover point

Morne Morkel comes in

Tsotsobe to RG Sharma, OUT, caught at short midwicket! This is going the same way as the first one! It was a short of length delivery on the body and Rohit goes for his usual front-foot pull and gets it on the middle too, but he is unable to keep it down. Hashim Amla at short midwicket times his jump to perfection to pluck this one out! Excellent reflex catch there. Loppsy is elated

RG Sharma c Amla b Tsotsobe 19 (34m 26b 2x4 0x6) SR: 73.07

Tsotsobe to RG Sharma, FOUR runs, oh this one is smashed off the back foot as Loppsy gives the batsman some room. It was a touch short too and Rohit slaps it over point
Tsotsobe to Kohli, OUT, and now Kohli is gone for a duck! Tsotsobe strikes with an angled delivery outside off which was slightly short in length. The batsman tried to steer it down to third man, but it just skims off the face of the bat to the keeper.

V Kohli c †de Kock b Tsotsobe 0 (7m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Steyn to Dhawan, OUT, and he is gone, caught at point! another length delivery outside off and Dhawan tends to go for these ones, that's what he does, but he is not able to keep it down and it goes straight to the throat of the backward point fielder

S Dhawan c Duminy b Steyn 0 (9m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Tsotsobe to RG Sharma, FOUR runs, another angled delivery by Tsotsobe and the batsman gets room with it, Rohit waits for it and cuts it behind point nicely for his first boundary
