That concludes our coverage of the Twenty20s. We now move onto the five-match ODI series, the first of which is this coming Thursday at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica. The final word goes to Kev: "Me again....Most if not all of the current members of the WI team are due for criticism because of their performances or lack thereof. If you are a batsman you should make runs consistently if you are a bowler take wickets or restrict runs if you are an All-Rounder you gotta do both. There is no room for a mascot in the playing 11 end of discussion!!"

Sammy and his side pose with the trophy, satisfied with a comprehensive effort. If there was any doubt beforehand, these Twenty20s have made it abundantly clear that the West Indians are favourites in both the ODIs and the Tests, and will not be easy to knock over on their home patch, as the Australians found out in March.

Gary with some words of caution: "Great to see WI's winning back to back games. Don't get too excited fans, we are playing against a team that's rated just as or a lettle below WI. Remember Narine's performance against Eng."

Chris Gayle is the Man of the Series for his two half-centuries: "I'm very happy, well done to the team, good start on a high. I don't know what's happening at the start, they bowled well and I made the necessary adjustments to put the team in a winning position. Bravo at the end gave us a good total, overall it was a good performance with the ball too." Gayle was giggling throughout, barely able to compose himself, clearly in a good mood!

Sunil Narine is the Man of the Match: "I think it's better to be home, the weather is good, but you still have to work hard. England was tough, Pitches are more conducive to spin here, but you still have to bowl in the right areas. Hopefully I will be able to bowl well in the Tests if the opportunity comes."

Darren Sammy is beaming with delight: "It feels good to win the series. We're fortunate to have the likes of myself, Bravo, Samuels - today they bowled much better to us, but we were still able to execute. We all know what Chris is capable of doing and he's performing for us at the top of the order. Kieron played well yesterday and today Bravo delivered. Narine is back to his best, in England even Graeme Swann struggled, but you see how difficult it is to face him in his own conditions. I think we are improving with every game. Thanks to the crowd for coming out and supporting us, it felt like we were at home."

Presentation time. First up is New Zealand's stand-in skipper Kane Williamson on a tough day for his side: "Obviously reasonably disappointed not to come closer, but as my first time as captain it was nerve-wracking, but nice to get into it. We impoved with our execution in the bowling department and they have big hitters throughout their line-up. A shame not to turn up with the bat and chase it down. Yesterday bowling was an issue, but today it was the batting. We need to take another look at our plans. We will need to improve in all facets for the ODIs."

S-Mo: "I don't understand what is wrong with the Kiwis? they used to be a fighting team, giving teams like Australia trouble at times. Its like they aren't even trying to do better. On the Darren Sammy note, I think all this criticism (especially calling him 'opportunistic') is unfair. He has brought the team out of what seemed like a never ending downward spiral. They are already looking like possible contenders for the T20 World Cup this year." Clearly the visitors were short of match practice, but this West Indian side is very dangerous, and it is no wonder Shane Watson has termed them the team to beat at the upcoming World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in September.

Randy is steadfast in his views on the Caribbean skipper: "Sammy's fans love to throw around phrases like "he has heart", "he's a hard worker", or "he has determination". All well and fine, but when all these intangibles fails to convert into runs and wickets, they become rather useless."

Cleaz asks: "So, was cricket in Florida a success this weekend?" On balance, the answer would have to be yes. The pitch, the main source of concern, played well above expectations and was remarkably distinguishable from the pudding pitch served up two years ago for the New Zealand - Sri Lanka T20s. There were lots of runs and boundaries, particularly from the West Indians who have a large diaspora in the US and in Florida especially, which no doubt was needed for cricket to make some sort of impression on a nation already in possession of a high-octane sport involving swinging bats. Of course, there are certainly things for the USACA to improve on, such as parking, crowd entry, media and broadcast facilities, but this is certainly a boost to their efforts to attract more attention to the sport in the land of the Stars and Stripes.

Pooram Gangaram: "The commentary has been excellent. One should not ask for anything better. Good job..." Why thank you. Nice to receive a positive comment every once in a while!

mngc: "@mehul, What can be more selfish than managing his stats to stay on the team, leaving bowlers who are taking stick instead of bringing himself on the make a change?"

As for the match, well the West Indies proved far too strong, even without Pollard, for the New Zealanders missing Taylor, Oram and Hira. The batting was again solid, if without the pyrotechnics of yesterday save for a late flurry from Dwayne Bravo, and the bowlers, Narine particulalry, proved too much for the under-strength tourists, who fought hard but were always facing an uphill battle with the injuries and the relative lack of power hitters in their batting.

That's just some of the feedback - strong support and criticism of Sammy.

Amjad: "I may clarify to people, repeating this Selfishness and other stuff, that If by any means you are trying to hit on Gayle, the great, He was forced to sit out by WICB and not money or anything else. Full Stop."

Dave is not a happy chappy: "I rest my case. This team [New Zealand] should be sent home in disgrace."

Kev responds: "Permit me just one more comment please: Don't think that I am anti Darren Sammy, but understand that I believe he is better and he can do better than he currently is be mature enough to accept criticism."

John from St Lucia: "Be grateful to Sammy? He is being paid like all the others. Is he beyond criticism? He has my support but the anti and pro sammy west-Indians going overboard with their defence and/or support of him."

Keupke: "Regarding the Sammy discussion: remember Mike Brearley? Averaged 22 something, but his main function in the team was being the captain. And I think something similar went on with David Hughes at Lancashire. So, maybe some of the progress of the West Indies in the past year or so can be attributed to the captain? That would be resaon enough to have him in the team then."

Reuel from Trini: "No thanks Mark, being a WI fan is frustrating enough. In terms of skills sammy has very little, but he has heart, i'll give him that, but there are times when having all the heart in the world just doesn't cut it. So until his skill set improves, Sammy is going to be the focus of attacks, some of which are justified."

Mehul: "Hate how fans get on players like Sammy who don't have an abundance of talent. Rather have a hardworking and determined team player like him in any first 11 than the selfish 'talented' superstars."
