England coast to thumping victory

A lightening 117-run opening stand between Andrew Strauss and Craig Kieswetter rocketed England to a seven-wicket victory with over a quarter of their innings to spare against Scotland in a sun-drenched Edinburgh

Match Centre

Easy 7 wicket win for England as they chase the required runs in under 35 overs. A great display from openers Strauss and Kieswetter laid the platform and England were always crusing. Haq and Lyons managed to bowl well in areas but England were just too good.

As the players leave the pitch the Barmy Army decided to have a bit of fun as a man dressed in a banana suit decided to run round the pitch chased by six men wearing gorilla suits much to the amusment of the crowd.

Thanks for joining me, Callum Stewart, here in Edinburgh today where thankfully the rain managed to stay away. Do join us next week where the English will start their ODI series against Australia and the Scots will be taking on India A. For now, from us at Cricinfo, good afternoon.
