What an amazing victory for West Indies. New Zealand always looked in control but Ramdin managed to steer the tourists home to victory. Credit to the grounds staff here at Christchurch who managed to get the ground playable this evening after some terrible weather earlier in the day.

After the first match was washed out, West Indies take a 1-0 lead in the series with the 3rd ODI scheduled for 2.00pm on the 7th January in Wellington. Do join us then but for now from Pat Culpan and Callum Stewart here at cricinfo it's good night.

Southee to Sarwan, 1 run, slower ball cut away and it finds a gap in between the field. Both batsmen punch the air in delight as they sprint through for the winning runs.

Southee to Ramdin, no run, he tries to cut away the wide one and gets a bottom edge through to McCullum. He rolls the ball at the stumps and misses as Ramdin retreats back to his crease. He would have been out! No run

Southee to Ramdin, 2 runs, short of a length and it gets pulled over midwicket and they take two. Picked up in the deep
