7.24pm That's that, then. Both teams head into the World Cup, with a contrasting run of fortunes in white-ball cricket. South Africa flex their all-round muscles, while Sri Lanka look a little lost about combinations, form and other such questions. For the moment, it's goodbye from Wanderers. This is Debayan Sen, signing off on behalf of scorer Thilak Gowda and the rest of the crew here at ESPNcricinfo. Go on and follow Delhi vs Mumbai in the IPL, or the Australian chase of another 280-plus target in Sharjah. Andrew Fidel Fernando's report should land here soon enough as well. Goodbye for now!

JP Duminy: "(On winning 3-0) Certainly is satisfying. It was nice to get over the line in Cape Town. Pretty convincing in Pretoria and again today. We set the game up nicely in the first 10 overs, and give ourselves a good chance to back up the last 10 overs. We executed well against their bowlers. Probably didn't do that as well in the first match. I think individuals have taken up the opportunities well. Dwaine batting at number 3 did that well today. We want to continue to see that growth. (Victory for him, recovering from shoulder surgery) There were a few anxious weeks coming into the first game, but there's a good support structure around you. To be able to come back and perform to my best is nice. Still got a couple of weeks now, try to build that confidence and go to the World Cup. (Five trophies out of six in the summer) We'll take that. That's pretty much close to 100 percent, so that's still pretty good."

Reeza Hendricks wins the player of the series award :"Yeah, it's been a dry run in the ODI series, but it was important to keep believing. It worked well, and a few guys contributed at different times. Scoring runs and contributing is good. He (Pretorius) played really well. He cleared the boundary with ease and that made things easier for me."

Dwaine Pretorius is the player of the match: "Really enjoyed (batting at 3). (About whether he was frustrated about lack of opportunities) Not really, the top order has simply been phenomenal. (77 off last 5 overs) Duminy's striking was something special, and he cleared the boundary beautifully. He took care of Malinga. (Wicket off first ball) That doesn't happen a lot, and I was happy to contribute to the team winning."

Lasith Malinga, speaks to Mike Haysman: "(On the South Africans) These kinds of wickets, we needed to restrict them to 170-180. We started well, but then they got the partnerships. We lacked the partnerships. As captain, we need to get more breakthroughs. We get one wicket (today) but then they got a partnership. Over the tournament, we kept losing wickets. Someone needs to pick getting wickets. (Playing in South Africa) They are good in home conditions. They know the ground situations and have a good line-up for the World Cup. They have talented players, and that's why they have been successful in ODIs and T20s. As cricketers, we have to realise what we have to do looking forward. We have a good support staff, and they have to get mentally prepared to handle situations. (On Test series) That's the really huge plus point from this tour."

7.04pm It would be romantic to suggest Sri Lanka here have been hard done by with the DLS revision, but truth is their innings went off the rails when they lost four wickets for just 19 runs right at the top. There was a brief, brilliant resistance from Isuru Udana, but Andile Phehlukwayo was quick to extinguish any lingering hopes that Sri Lanka had with four wickets in this match. South Africa were more clinical right through this white-ball section, and tonight was the perfect illustration of that. Presentation to follow, as South Africa celebrate the perfect ending to their cricketing home summer

Sipamla to Lakmal, OUT

GOT HIM! South Africa win the series 3-0 with a 45 run win on DLS, as Sipamla hits the top of off stump with a perfect good length ball. Another heave-ho from Lakmal, and he probably only came back into the same city as the bowler, but not any closer than that. Comprehensive win for South Africa again as the two teams shake hands out in the middle

Lakmal is batting in Durban at the moment. He's that far from the ball

across the line, and goes high up in the air, with Hendricks covering good ground in from long on to take the catch. Was a length ball, but just climbed a bit on him as he looked to hoick this across midwicket. Never got any timing on this, and looped it up in the air

gets another one! Four for Phehlukwayo with another change-up, tossed up outside off stump, and Malinga takes the bait to try and go inside out. Goes straight to Morris, who was 15 yards inside the extra cover fence and didn't have to move much to grab on

Phehlukwayo to Udana, OUT

outside off, and he has gone long, but not long enough! David Miller picks up a catch at the extra cover fence, and it looked like it was heading for six all the way. A slight change up in pace, bowled from the side of the hand, and Udana gave it the proverbial kitchen-sink. It sailed flat and seemed headed for going over the skirting, but Miller would have none of it. Held it and balanced himself beautifully!
