Jamaica start off the tournament with a win. Although the result suggests it, the win was not a convincing one as the bowlers were profligate with their lines. It does not show the bowling in good light as they conceded 23 wides. It could have been tougher for Jamaica if the bowlers had bowled to their lines as Gayle and Marshall were slow to start off with.
