Full commentary

That's all folks for tonight. We will be back tomorrow when Tshwane Spartans take on Cape Town Blitz. See you then.

Albie Morkel: I think still the right decision to bowl first. We lost too many wickets at front. But Morne getting runs was a bit of a positive. Rashid would add a lot to the bowling. Hopefully, he would give us an edge in the field.

Dane Vilas: Incredible hitting by Hendricks. Some of those sixes were huge. It's great to have him [Gayle] back. A bonus point always helps. It's a massive game on Sunday [against Nelson Mandela Bay Giants]. They are playing well, but hopefully we can string a series of wins.

Reeza Hendricks is Player of the Match. "I think van der Dussen and I had a good partnership and then with Dan coming in, they set up nicely for me. Was a belter of a wicket."

"In T20 cricket, you have to stick to your guns," says Rabada. "if you execute well enough, most likely it's gonna go your way. It was a very important game for us. This format is all about fine margins and today we came out on the top and I am very glad for that."

10:20pm A 53-run victory for Stars and a bonus point as well, they move to the third spot in the points table. Their victory was set up by Reeza Hendricks' ton, an unbeaten 104 as Stars put up a mammoth 230. And then with the ball, Kagiso Rabada took three in the first over to almost seal the game then and their only. Morne van Wyk fought a lone battle with a 33-ball 66 but the required was always steeping. And in the end, Heat were bowled out for 177 in 18.1 overs.
