Phew! I need to gather my breath as I type this out. It looked completely one-sided at one stage with Ponting and Hussey going strong, but they collapsed from 140 for 2 to 187 for 8. When Johnson was gone, Pakistan were favourites to seal this but Lee and Hauritz saw off some nervy moments at the end to see their team through to the next stage, and to victory. Splendid effort from Pakistan, too, who fought superbly to make a match out of this. Asif was superb in his second spell, and Naved lethal, bowling it in the blockhole with consistency; the ball to get rid of Hussey was a peach. Pakistan were already through to the semis, but raised their game when it mattered and almost pulled it off. Join us in a bit for the presentation. Australia now take on old foes England in Centurion in the semi-final, and Pakistan take on New Zealand in Johannesburg.

Younis: "They had a fantastic time with the ball, and got partnerships going when they batted, But suddenly, we came back hard and it was a great finish. The pitch was a little soft in the morning, not a bad pitch for cricket. Irrespective of who you play in the semis, you just have to stick to your plans."

Ponting: "I had chewed all my fingernails off. It was tough to score quickly out there, the bounce was inconsistent and it spun at the end so we were a little lucky to restrict them to that total. We've finished top of the table, and we have a good understanding of how the conditions are here and we look forward to taking on England."

Hussey: "The Pakistanis bowled well, and thankfully Brett Lee and Hauritz showed some steel in the end and got us over the line. It's a good achievement for our team and we're looking to go at least another step further."

That ends a nerve-wracking game. Thanks for tuning in and sending us your feedback. Join us for the first semi-final on Friday. Goodbye
