Interesting choice for Man of the Match. Gibson ended 43 not out, was part of that momentum-shifting partnership that spanned the Power Surge heading into the final overs with Weatherald who actually made a half-century but is bypassed for match honors. I don't think he'll care too much in a win though. That's it for today. Time for Renegades to lick their wounds and Strikers to bask in the glow of another win. Come back tomorrow for more BBL action. Take care!

Player of the Match is Ryan Gibson: "It was a nice little period for me, good to spend a little bit of time in the middle. Jake was hitting them superb to get us to a nice total. We were just trying to play good cricket shots. The wicket was good and the outfield is lightning here. It's been a little bit of a whirlwind. I wasn't expecting to play in this at all but I'm loving it in Adelaide. With the class we have with our bowlers, we know we can defend anything. Last game our fielding was a little bit off so that was a key for us tonight. Playing in front of our home crowd is a big advantage. Hopefully this can jump start us into the finals."

9.56 pm Fourth time the Renegades have been bowled out this BBL campaign in eight matches. An extraordinary feat in T20 cricket. Most No. 11s don't bat more than once or twice in a season and the Renegades have exposed their tail in half their matches already. They were in the match for the first 16 overs and then things rapidly spiraled out of control when the Strikers called for the Power Surge.

Agar to Lalor, OUT

yorker on middle, Lalor heaves for the moon and misses. An appropriate end to a match performance that Lalor will want to erase from his memory bank as soon as he walks over the boundary rope.

Agar to Lalor, 1 leg bye

yorker speared into the legs, big appeal from Agar but it was missing leg stump by some distance. Leg bye taken behind point after the ricochet.

Kapil Baldawa: "After 8 overs, they were well and truly in the game. Harper goes, Nabi comes and the game completely changes. Why don't they trust Webster or McGurk more? Nabi isn't a player who can bat for 12 overs and build an innings. He is an out and out hitter and should be used like one. First poor bowling changes to let Strikers off the hook then poor batting order to completely suck the momentum. I guess Finch needs to move on as captain. He didn't too well for Australia in the recent T20 series too. Not bowling 2 best bowlers and going to Lalor who looks confused at death means you are not learning from 7 losses on the trott"

Siddle to Kane Richardson, OUT

full on fifth stump, skies this high to Renshaw at cover sweeper. Takes the catch 15 yards in from the rope. Siddle points Richardson off to the pavilion and Richardson exchanges a number of words with Renshaw as well who also directs him off the field. Renegades frustrations are boiling over.

finally gets his first wicket of the night. Another googly lands too short, but this time Prestwidge struggles to muscle it over the rope at deep midwicket, hangs in the air for Renshaw who holds onto this one comfortably at chest height 10 yards in from the rope after shelling a chance earlier off the bowling of Briggs.
