Another strong performance from the Scorchers bowlers was well finished off by their batsmen.

They now move into second place courtesy of their strong net run rate but have played an extra game than the Stars and Hurricanes who are also on four wins.

Shaun Marsh has just pipped Aaron Finch at the top of the runscorers list for the 2012/13 BBL with his unbeaten knock, while North made his best contribution of the campaign.

Usman Khawaja is the sole shining light for the Thunder after scoring his second consecutive half century but there was little else to smile about for the visiting fans.

Jason Behrendorff is named Man of the Match after taking two for 16 in his four over spell up front for the Scorchers. Behrendorff aniled the two important scalps of Chris Gayle and Matt Prior during the all important Power Play.

Thanks for joining us this evening. I look forward to your company tomorrow evening when the Hurricanes take on the Strikers in Hobart. This is Marc Ellison signing off. Good luck and God speed.
