Stoinis, Pietersen ensure Stars triumph

After Marcus Stoinis' spell of 3 for 11 restricted the Melbourne Renegades to 6 for 155, the Stars chased the score down with rather ease, led by Kevin Pietersen's unbeaten 67

10.27 pm Renegades have had a poor day. They didn't score enough and when they created chances in the field they did not taken them. A comprehensive victory for their Melbourne rivals. The Stars bowling was excellent, snuffing out the Renegades big guns before they could fire, and then KP and Handscomb steered the chase to completion. Bravo was the only notable performer for Renegades tonight.

This match also had one of the strangest dismissals you'll ever see. Read all about it here.

Marcus Stoinis is the Man of the Match for his two overs in which he dismissed Gayle, White and Beaton.

Thank you for your emails today, and thank you for reading. Cheers.
