An encouraging win for Bangalore after a deflating loss in the IPL opener. Bangalore reshuffled their side but it came down to two old pros, Kallis and Boucher, to pull off this tense chase. Bangalore win by five wickets to get on the board and Mumbai lose their opening fixture. The Mumbai fans are a bit down but they've been treated to a tight match.

Mumbai batted and put up 165, but Boucher stuck around to see off the runs. A few cameos through the order was all Bangalore needed. Vijay Mallya will be a happy owner tonight.

Pollock, who played like a champion today, blames "those two blooming South Africans" for denying Mumbai victory. What a legend.

I'll have the post-match presentation for you shortly. Stick around.

Harbhajan isn't too deterred by this loss. Believes he had enough runs on the board. Another wicket and Mumbai were in, he says. Credits a great team and a special Mumbai crowd.

Dravid says Bangalore had to bounce back after the loss against Kolkata. Thanks Boucher and Kallis for their roles. Believes the youngsters in the side have absorbed well and will put it all to use.

Boucher is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 39 from 19. Says he was lucky to have Kallis at one end, who had a "calming" effect on him.

Do join us again for the sixth match, a fixture between the Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab (20:00 local, 14:30 GMT), tomorrow. Sriram Veera will have the commentary for you.

Until next time, on behalf of Sajan and the rest of the crew, this is Jamie Alter saying good night and good luck.

I wouldn't say there's a twist in the tale yet, given the runs needed. In comes Akhil.
