This would go down as one of the classic chokes in Twenty20 history. Mumbai suddenly panicked when they lost Abhishek Nayar and Tendulkar in quick succession. The running and calling was totally messed up, especially in the final over when there were three run-outs. Punjab will have to commended for keeping their nerve in the final moments. Surely, Yuvraj would have played a big part in pushing everybody to give their best. It was only fitting he finished it off in style with an athletic run out to rival Jonty Rhodes.

Here's an observation from Mahesh N: "Tendulkar should hand Pollock the captaincy and concentrate on his batting. The decision to have Nehra bowl the final over instead of Pollock cost the match."

Pollock could well have been unfit for the last over. I guess the reasons will be revealed shortly. Stay with us for the post-match presentation.

Sreesanth gets the purple cap for being the leading wicket-taker of the tournament. He's tied with RP Singh on 15 wickets but edges ahead on economy rate.

Tendulkar: "We got so close and congratulations to my team. Would like to thank the crowd. I needed to be there till the end, till the 15th over. I always felt it would be one run or one wicket which would change things. But we lost by one run.

Yuvraj: "Sachin's wicket changed the game for us. Marsh and Pomersbach played brilliantly. I want to tell the crowd that the crowd support was too one sided towards Mumbai. Let me remind them that some of the Punjab players also play for India." He's clearly unhappy.

Shaun Marsh is the Man of the Match. He said the IPL was a great experience.

Strong words from Yuvraj there. Details of what really happened should emerge later.

Part 2 of the double header should get underway soon in Chennai. Rain has delayed the start by 15 minutes. It's Chennai Super Kings v Bangalore Royal Challengers. Bangalore will bat first. Thanks for your company. Cheers!

Singh to Yeligati, OUT

The six-match winning streak finally ends! And it's the captain Yuvraj Singh who sets a brilliant example! Yeligati drives but mistimes it towards mid-off, they for for the single anyway, Yeligati knows he's struggling and Yuvraj decides to make a dash for the stumps instead of attempting a direct hit, he flings himself at the stumps and knocks all three of them down with Yeligati well short of his ground. The third umpire is called for but Punjab know they've done it, Yuvraj is in a frenzy

So they need 19 off the last over. The mood in that dugout was slightly different about 15 minutes back. A few quick wickets and boom. It's not over yet for Mumbai. VRV bowls the final over
