That ends the league stage in the IPL, but four very important games to go now, starting from Tuesday when Chennai take on Mumbai in Delhi in the first qualifier. This will be followed by the Hyderabad v Rajasthan match on Wednesday in the Eliminator. That's it, however, that we have for the night, this is Suneer Chowdhary signing off for now, ciao and have a good night ahead.

------------------

Presentation:

Gambhir: Want to congratulate Hyderabad for the way they played and got to the playoffs. We didn't bowl too well in the first 7-8 overs, had we done that, things would have been different. We weren't consistent throughout the tournament.

White: Feeling bit better than what I was about 12 balls earlier. Dhawan and Parthiv set it up for us to scrape through to the win. The guys came together well and then the fans and the franchise supported us well. We have nothing to lose now, were underdogs but we will look to scrap and fight in the playoffs.

Parthiv Patel is the man of the match: We have seen teams getting choked low scores so went hard at the start. Yes there were nerves in the end but Sammy finished it off well. We have clicked well as a team and a lot of credit goes to the coaching staff.

------------------

This has been an exciting game and that will be an understatement to make. Hyderabad looked comfortably placed to win it by aplenty and then from 89/0 they capitulated to 112/5. Narine bowled a superb maiden which brought the required-rate up to eight. Then Sammy hit two sixes and they were through!

Sammy's being interviewed by Alan Wilkins and I cannot be sure which of the two hit the winning runs tonight.

So the playoffs order has been decided. Mumbai play Chennai and Rajasthan take on Hyderabad. Bangalore get knocked out, as do Punjab, Kolkata, Pune and Delhi.

And to add to it, Sammy's gone dancing on and on, surrounded by his players, and surprise, surprise, there's no Gangnam there!

------------------

shekhar: "What a celebration. Loved it. Everyone Smiling and Laughing. They are actually happy. No swear words, no tough faces Just Happy."

Shreya Tanzin: "The amount of respect I held for Sammy has multiplied itself by 6(!) now...this is the guy who got WI a world cup, and today proved that no gayle, no narine could have made that happen without him! #respect and #respect to Dale Steyn! The men who made it happen...because, sometimes you don't need is a winning team, but a winner, SRH had 2!"

Indraneel: "Congratulations SRH! You deserve to be in the playoffs, much more than RCB, who made a great start to the season, but allowed their game to fall apart at a crucial time. Just get the feeling that SRH could go all the way (That last sentence in a Ravi Shastri voice)."

Jake: "Calm down SRH. You have a long way to go still. No premature celebrations please! You have just qualified, not won the IPL."

Punya: "Did I just see 0.00 run rate for our team Hyderabad after playing 16 matches? lol" Here's the points table

Raj: "RCB will be lamenting that last ball loss against CSK courtesy RP singh!!"

Praveen: "They give the Nayi Soch award to Sunil Narine. I think it should have been given to Darren Sammy to play out a maiden of Narine so as to not lose any wickets."

Shami to Samantray, FOUR runs

aww, that's not the best ball there, attempts a yorker and it was swinging in too, gets some bat on it and it rushes away for a four, cannot fault the effort of the bowler there, just the execution goes a tad awry

Ruchit V: "Dear RCB fans, dont be excited... It's not SA, it is SRH! they are going to make it!"

W
Shami to Perera, OUT

what a ball, bowled! no-one saw that till very late, neither the bowler, nor the commentator, and I think the batsman was the only guy who knew something was amiss, looks back and sees the bails on the floor! Was a yorker length ball and it's sneaked through his defences!
