That is it from me, Suneer Chowdhary, for the evening, been a long day with all those rain breaks but in the end, the exciting finish made it worth the wait. I will be back tomorrow when the Pune Warriors host Royal Challengers Bangalore. Have a good night!

Presentation:

Dravid: You play a good game and sometimes a batsman comes out and plays an excellent innings, you got to accept that. The track was doing a bit, stopping and seaming around, they bowled well, credit to them. We are alive, just by our fingernails, we need to get going and try and win all the remaining games.

Dhoni: Leaving it too late is not something we do intentionally, our top six need to perform. As the tournament progresses, we need to get going, the batsmen are coming under pressure early and they need to bat freely. Srikkanth is an exciting youngster, you got to grab your opportunities, and that is what he has done. We have tried to bat him up the order but at times we need to continue allocating the same roles that we have done earlier.

Ben Hilfenhaus is the man of the match.

Hilfenhaus: Very exciting game of cricket, good to come out on the winning side. T20 cricket is a funny format, things change rapidly, a good surface to bowl on, seaming around for me.

This was an unbelievable match, or at least a difficult to believe finish to it. When MS Dhoni got out off the last ball before the Time-Out, Chennai needed 47 off 24 on a track where most batsmen had struggled to get going. Then, Morkel and Srikkanth came together, batted a total of 12 balls together, hit a four apiece, two sixes each and smashed 18 runs respectively to win the game for the Super Kings with 10 balls to spare.

Dravid seemed to have done all the right things, with four overs to go, he decided to give Pankaj Singh the ball, allowing Watson and Tait to bowl the last three. As it turned out, Pankaj Singh went for 17, and Watson gave away 18 in the next two overs. Left to defend only 12, Tait bowled his poorest over of the tournament and Super Kings had broken jail yet again!

5w
Tait to Anirudha, 5 wide

down the leg side and it is four wides! Tait has had an excellent first three overs but he has bowled three of the worst balls you would see at this stage. The Super Kings win easily in the end!

Tait to Anirudha, (no ball)

yorker, shuffled across and bowled, but Tait over-steps! No-ball called and that is a big break for the Super Kings. Free Hit

Watson to Anirudha, SIX runs

short ball and six! Would you believe it, Srikkanth has smashed it over mid-wicket for a six! The game has swung hugely here...

short of length, outside the off stump and Morkel wanted to smack it away, bounces hard into the ground and Watson dives to his left to stop it from going to long-on

Morkel's on 17 from 4. Two sixes, a four and a single for him. Taking time to set the fields.

Pankaj to Anirudha, 1 wide

short ball, very, very short and down the leg side, wide called by the umpire. Not a bad idea bouncing him but that was rather short.

A very animated Rahul Dravid on display. The T20 effect?

Pankaj to Jadeja, OUT

down the track and caught at long-off! He had hit a boundary off the first ball of the over but he went down the pitch for this one and tried to clear the long-off fence, mistimed it and its gone straight to the fielder on the boundary.

outside the off stump, pitched right up to the bat, and driven through the covers for four! Good start for Chennai after the break!

The Time-Out makes it a bit of an anti-climax. But it is a matter of a couple of minutes only. Trivedi has bowled one of the spells of his life, 2/18 in his four.
