and a bouncer that Vinay can't get bat on finishes off the game, Mumbai win by 58 runs
MI vs RCB, 37th match at Mumbai, IPL, Apr 27 2013 - Match Result
This match was all about that new ball spell from Malinga and Johnson to Gayle. That was high-intensity cricket, perhaps the best phase of cricket this season of the IPL. Every year there is plenty of mediocre cricket in the IPL, but Malinga and Johnson knew how they wanted to handcuff Gayle and carried out the plan perfectly. After the initial pressure, Dhawal Kulkarni and Harbhajan Singh took out the big four of RCB's batting and the match fizzled out.
Anupa Koti: "Congratulations to SandeepKamani on achieving a new feat. Comments appeared twice in less than five overs in the same T20 match on cricinfo. Congos mate."
Manprabh: "Someone needs to upload a clip of Harbhajan Singh's Bhangnam Style, I can't believe I missed it!"
Nagesh: "Last wish: Don't give Harbhajan the 'Innovation in the game' award for his Bhangram Sytle, please!!" Your wish has come true, that award goes to Mitchell Johnson for his opening spell.
Presentation ceremony:
The crowd boos as Virat Kohli walks up. "The IPL is not the end of the world, they are forgetting I play for India as well. The top four are not going to click in every game, this was one of those days when it didn't click. We have to pick ourselves up. Hopefully, we can re-group."
Rohit Sharma: "We pretty much did everything well today, right from the batting and we finished off pretty well. Special mention to Dhawal Kulkarni, first game for him, it was a tremendous effort from him. I just don't want to get carried away too much."
Man of the Match is Dwayne Smith: "We didn't have a good start at the top in the first couple of games... It was a very good pitch."
Here's Sidharth Monga's match report, and his Plays of the day.
That's a wrap from us at Cricinfo this Saturday. There is a double-header tomorrow as well, see you lot then.

SandeepKamani: "Bhajji's Bhangnam Style in reply to Gayle Gangnam Style made my day :)"

short of length ball is defended towards cover for a single
a length ball is powered wide of long-on for four more, all helping reduce the margin of defeat
Last over of the game coming up. It's been a snoozefest for nearly an hour now.
Gautam: "Dhawal should change his last name. There was once a bowler called Raju Kulkarni who played for Mumbai. Despite consistent performances and being picked for India for a couple of Test matches, he was not given a long run. The same is the case with Dhawal. He is fast medium, bowls swing, and could be a good bowler for India. They picked him once to NZ, but never played him and unceremoniously dropped him for Unadkat (I think)."
clubbed! a full ball is hammered to the left of the bowler and the right of mid-off for four, a powerful hit that
a mistimed swipe sends the ball towards long-on
a low full toss, a comical swipe from Rampaul sends the ball towards long-on
short ball is pulled away to the square leg boundary, one-bounce four for Rampaul
a misfield by Ojha at long-on allows an extra run, is that his only contribution of the match?
short of length ball is slapped towards midwicket
Ujjawal Agarwal: "I pity those who took Gayle, Kohli, ABD, Malinga, Johnson in their Fantasy teams and thought themselves to be masters of hedging.."
full and well outside off, squeezed towards backward point where Pollard is lurking
Rahul: "There should have been a "Win Declare" option for this match. RCB would have given up the moment they lost their top 4 so early :P"
full and outside off, Rampaul can't get bat on it
short and wide outside off, slapped towards sweeper cover
a yorker from Dhawal, nearly sneaks through, just about defended by Vinay
slapped towards point this time, short and wide outside off
pitched up and that is punched towards cover for a single
shortish ball down the leg side, Vinay skips away from the stumps and powers that towards cow corner for four
