Unbeaten hundreds from Chirag Khurana and Ankit Bawne ensured Maharashtra did not stutter any more on the last day in their draw against Gujarat in Valsad. Starting the day on 131 for 0, Maharashtra declared on 429 for 3 and took one point from the draw compared to Gujarat's three. This leaves Maharashtra on third place in Group B, behind Delhi and Vidarbha, with still a chance of qualifying for the knockouts.

Maharashtra's opening stand was broken when Swapnil Gugale was bowled by Mehul Patel in the third over of the day, after adding 11 runs to his overnight score of 77. Harsh Khadiwale stretched his score from 52 to 77 in the company of Khurana as the duo put on 54 for the second wicket. The highlight of the day was the partnership between Khurana and Bawne for the fourth wicket, which yielded 192 runs in 53.5 overs. Both batsmen scored at similar pace as Khurana's 130 included 13 fours and Bawne's 100 featured 10.

It was Khurana's fourth consecutive match in which he went past the 50-run mark in at least one of the innings. Bawne, meanwhile, registered his 11th first-class hundred and second of the season. Maharashtra will now play Vidarbha in the last round, while Gujarat, sixth in the table, will take on Haryana.
