England now turn their attention to the other Antipodean team in world cricket, the Australians are in town and next up are the Ashes beginning on July 8. Given what's happened over the last two months, it could be set up for a cracking series. Join the team then. Unfortunately not myself, off to pastures new and it has been a pleasure to work for ESPNcricinfo over the past four years, describing some wonderful matches. Take care all, goodnight from me...

And that brings to an end this New Zealand tour. A fine victory for England here, to go with their outstanding triumph in the ODI series too. The Test series was shared and that is all New Zealand have to tangibly take away from this tour but they have been outstanding on their tour, contributing to thrilling matches throughout and you only hope next time they tour England, they will be booked in for a full Test series. And we won't mind watching a few more of these one-day matches between these sides either.

Presentation time. Joe Root is the Man of the Match and now we here from the winning captain Eoin Morgan: "Coming out and playing in the same fashion as the last few one-day international was pleasing. Joe Root, the hunger and determination to cash in when he's in form is a great example in our changing room. It felt a million miles away at the World Cup but things have turned around so quickly. Everyone has bought into what we've wanted to achieve, we have to work to do with the ball but the batting has been very pleasing. Considering the average age in the group is 24, 25 it makes it very exciting moving down the line. We haven't seen the best of our group yet. It's easier now to take on Australia having played like we have here, it reinforces to the guys in the changing room that when we come off we can be dangerous. The spirit of this series has been outstanding, we have been trying to emulate New Zealand, we've come close but it's important not to get carried away. But it's a start. I certainly think we've gone a long way to winning back the public but we have a lot more to give and it's set up so well now for the Ashes."

Brendon McCullum:"Some of our batting was pretty amateurish. We got into a good position to chase down that total but our application wasn't quite right. I thought it was a par score on a good wicket so I wasn't unhappy at half-time, we got off to a good start but weren't able to go on with partnerships. I always find funny ways to get out and it was a shame not to be able to bat with Kane for longer, he's such an integral part of our group and he's been outstanding in every form of the game in the last 18 months. I was disappointed not to win the one-day series but we've played some very good cricket, introducing new faces and there will be more good cricket to come. Credit to England for playing the same style of cricket like us. It shows us that we need to keep improving and get better. But I've been really pleased with how our season has gone, we've done some special things."

In the end, England's fine finish with the bat, 106 runs from the last 10 overs, has won them the game here. They were just wobbling a little to Mitchell Santner but once he was seen off Sam Billings and Ben Stokes were able to biff up England's total, following yet another nice innings from Joe Root. The ended up with a very competitive total but surely no-one though that victory would come so easily, New Zealand bowled out with 22 balls to spare...

A hammering for New Zealand to complete their tour. Some collapse here to lose by 56 runs to give England a superb victory to continue their impressive return from the horrors of the World Cup. 89 for 2 New Zealand were in great shape and Kane Williamson marshalling the chase but once Taylor got out it was an absolutely procession with no-one else making double figures. A poor way for the Blackcaps to end a good tour but they depart with the good wishes of the British public for being fine tourists...

W
Willey to McClenaghan, OUT

goes for a reverse-paddle to a slower ball and chips it straight to the keeper! That will do nicely for England. Hiding to nothing really for McClenaghan, going for the spectacular first up, gets this off a top edge and it lobbed up to Bairstow

Willey to McCullum, OUT

steps across the stumps and goes to paddle, gets a good contact but guides it straight to short long leg! Straight to Finn who takes the catch shuffling to his right at shoulder height. Little batting for McCullum, difficult to come out and blast it here. Got a good connection on this but couldn't steer it wide of the fielder

Wood to Southee, OUT

full length just outside off, Southee clearing the front leg strikes it sweet as a nut down the ground but straight to mid-off! Well held by Morgan, it was straight to him but hit bloody hard, right off the meat of the bat but Southee picked out Morgan and is that New Zealand's chance gone now?

similar ball, angled out into the covers, they go for the single, Willey goes across to his left throws down the batsman's stumps! And Kane Williamson is short of his ground, superb piece of fielding, finally England hit the stumps. Willey going his left - the right side for him - one-handed pick-up and throw and fires down the stumps

full at the off stump, Santner swings to leg and loses his off stump. A nasty hack across the line, done for pace and it was straight enough. Poor innings from Santner, looked very out of touch really, didn't time one and has simply swung across the line and missed this
