Full commentary

11:30pm: MS plucks out a stump as a souvenir and roars. Stanikzai gets the side together and toasts the win. It was MS who set up the big victory, smashing the fourth-highest score in T20s. He had the crowd jiving and grooving to his tunes during his record century, which contained ten fours and eight sixes. The ever-mounting scoreboard pressure then told on Zimbabwe who were reduced to 34 for 5 inside six overs. Hamilton and Moor lent some resistance, but the result by then was a foregone conclusion.

Stanikzai collects another trophy and Afghanistan rejoice! Inzy joins the celebrations as well. The players go on a lap of honour, thanking the fans. That rounds off a bumper Sunday. Many thanks for tuning in and sending mails. Until next time, goodbye and good night

Samrat Ahuja: "Aghanistan players proving yet again they belong to the biggest stage. Top effort from Shahzad."

Presentation:

Stanikzai: It is our fourth series win against them. Phenomenal performance by the guys in the series. Rashid and youngsters have been outstanding throughout the series. In next ten years, I can say Afghanistan will beat any side. Special thanks to the crowd who came and supported us.

Chigumbura: For some of the guys new in the team, it is a good challenge. The way Shahzad batted was outstanding. We did not have any answers. We will have to move forward to the next series. We miss the senior players but PJ (Moor) batted well as a youngster. We will have to do the basics well; we dropped too many catches today. The conditions will be similar in Bangladesh. We will have to make sure we start well in Bangladesh.

Shahzad (who else?) is the Man of the Match. He scoops the Man-of-the-Series award as well

Shahzad: This is my favorite ground, Sharjah, and I like batting here. There is no plan. I want to hit every ball out of the boundary. I have got used to Zimbabwe's bowlers. The leg-side boundary is small. I talked with the captain and we thought 150 would be enough. We will try to do well in Asia Cup as well as World Cup.

Kev: "Mazakadsa the lone warrior.Zim lacked collective strength again."

Hamdard Hamdull: "Congratulations to Afghanistan for a big win and beating Zim in another series. Afghanistan will only get better from here."

anshul depura: "this whole season has been a big disappointment for Zim but good to see how Hamilton stepped up today."

Afghanistan thump Zimbabwe and take the series 2-0! They add the T20 trophy to the ODI trophy. Slid on middle, Tiripano edges an attempted reverse-sweep to short third man. They go for the second via an overthrow, the fielder (Naib) throws the stumps down at the bowler's end. Chisoro is too lazy, he does not bother to ground his bat. He did not get his foot down either
