van der Gugten to Imran Tahir, FOUR runs, Any run scored by these two is like gold dust! And it's four of them, fullish in length outside the off stu,p and he makes room and slams it wide of deep cover
Ahsan Malik to Miller, OUT, that's a five-for for Ahsan Malik! This was fuller and swinging towards the off stump, not sure what Miller was trying but he played all around it, the ball clips the off stump, these are the best figures by an Associate bowler against a Full Member side in a T20 international

DA Miller b Ahsan Malik 17 (26m 18b 0x4 0x6) SR: 94.44

Daryll Cullinan who's in the office stretches his arms out in frustration. He can't believe this batting

Ahsan Malik to Hendricks, OUT, how many soft dismissals have we seen today? This was pitched up and Hendricks looked to deposit that over the on side, miscued and gets a top edge that swirls to cover, easy catch

BE Hendricks c Borren b Ahsan Malik 3 (5m 4b 0x4 0x6) SR: 75.00

Ahsan Malik to Steyn, OUT, Will SA even last 20 overs? This was another fuller one outside off, he made a lot of room and looked to drive and got a thin edge to the keeper Barresi

Ahsan Malik to Steyn, FOUR runs, and at last a boundary! The first for eight overs, well timed there, this was full outside the off stump and moving away, Steyn bent down and caressed it wide of backward point
van der Gugten to Duminy, OUT, 6 down and he's caught down the leg side! The ball was drifting down leg, Duminy looked to clip it to the leg side and the finger went up quickly, may have clipped the glove

JA Morkel c BN Cooper b Ahsan Malik 5 (18m 11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 45.45

van Beek to de Villiers, OUT, they've got AB and that's a big wicket! You would have to say he threw his wicket away, there was a deep cover in place and AB found him, he was down the track to a length ball and punched it inside out straight to Ben Cooper

AB de Villiers c BN Cooper b van Beek 21 (27m 21b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Mudassar Bukhari to du Plessis, FOUR runs, down to third man and there's no slip, he comes down the track to a slower ball and plays too early, outside edge down to third man
van Beek to de Villiers, FOUR runs, fine leg was up in the circle and yet van Beek fed him a full delivery swinging on the pads, easy flick of the wrists, forget about chasing it
van Beek to du Plessis, FOUR runs, punishes a low full toss, du Plessis comes down the pitch early and pounds a low full toss straight down the ground down to long-off
Ahsan Malik to Amla, OUT, Malik gets his man and the explosive Amla walks back! Malik comes round the wicket and gives him a bit of width, Amla looked to slam it past the covers, the fielders were confident he had nicked it and so was the umpire

HM Amla c †Barresi b Ahsan Malik 43 (20m 22b 7x4 1x6) SR: 195.45

Ahsan Malik to Amla, FOUR runs, didn't look fully in control but good enough to reach the straight boundary, didn't time it as well, made room and cleared the back leg to loft
van der Gugten to Amla, FOUR runs, Amla's out there to belt everything, this was dragged a bit too short, slow pitch and he had time to pull this in front of square
Swart to Amla, FOUR runs, this was cleanly struck, tossed up on the off stump and he comes forward and chips it high over mid-off, 23 off the over!
Swart to Amla, FOUR runs, edged past the keeper and there's no slip! False shot so a lucky escape for Amla, this was quicker and a thick edge that races to third man, tough chance for the keeper though
Swart to Amla, FOUR runs, and now over the leg side, this was flighted on leg and he got on his knee and swept it over short fine leg
Swart to Amla, FOUR runs, goes over the off side this time, this was tossed up a bit more, he went forward and scooped it over cover
Swart to Amla, SIX runs, stamp of class there, this was a flatter delivery and yet Amla went down the track and adjusted well and lofted it straight down the ground
van der Gugten to Amla, FOUR runs, that was a classic square cut, this was short and wide outside the off stump and he didn't have to stretch much, crashed it wide of backward point
Swart to de Kock, OUT, caught at square leg! Quinton de Kock comes down the pitch, Swart bowls this on the pads and de Kock has to play this to the on side, the bat turned, perhaps not where he intended to place the ball, square leg was pushed slightly back and an easy catch

Q de Kock c Myburgh b Swart 0 (4m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Swart to Amla, no run, comes round the wicket, he stays back and tucks it to the on side

looks like we will start with spin

The teams are updated above. While we wait, do read Abhishek Purohit's diary on the experience of listening to national anthems of other countries.

Karthi The Rock: "Netherlands seems to have stuck to their strengths of 'Chasing Down'! When they dont have a target in front of them and not sure about the challenging total, especially against of the top teams, definitely they are bound to collapse. Bowling first will give them confidence and gauge the pitch for their batters. Good Luck Dutch boys!!"

Toss, 3pm: So Faf du Plessis is indeed playing today and he's walking out for the toss.

Netherlands have won the toss and they are fielding first. Peter Borren reckons the dew might be a factor. But it's a mid-afternoon game so not sure the dew will be a factor! It's an unchanged side. "We had a few discussions about the team personnel but you can't make 11 changes," Borren said.

Du Plessis says that he too would have fielded first. Just the one change - Beuran Hendricks comes in for Morne Morkel.

James: "Bowling first probably represents the Netherlands' best chance of putting SA under pressure. And we all know what happens when you put SA under pressure ..."

MAB: "Netherlands crossed 150+ score only once against test playing nation when they made 163/6 against England in Lords back in 2009, and only twice they made between 100 to 150 against Bangladesh in 2012, they failed to score more than 100 against Pakistan & Sri Lanka in their games in 2009 & 2014 World cups. Lets see if they can show some good batting skills today as we witnessed earlier from them against associate teams."

Hope you all enjoyed the day's gap in the World T20 yesterday. The action's back with Netherlands taking on South Africa today in Chittagong. On paper, it might appear like a mismatch considering how Netherlands were walloped by Sri Lanka, but the SA Faf du Plessis made an important point yesterday: "The days of big nations rocking up and thinking there are easy games in T20 cricket are gone. The shorter the game, the more opportunity there is for one or two guys gave to take the game away."

That says it all. It means South Africa will still have to win and try and win well to boost their net run rate. Read more in the preview.

Baz had a restless Wednesday: "NO, I did not enjoy the gap, I had cricket withdrawl symptoms, I couldn't wait till today for the double match up, also hope Netherlands put up a fight for the whole 40 overs"

The toss is on shortly. We will let you know if Faf walks out for the toss.
