9:27 pm That's it from us tonight. Come back tomorrow evening to find out if the Warriors can become the first team to complete an undefeated 10-0 CPL regular season. A win over two-time defending champion Trinbago Knight Riders will set up an opening playoff qualifier match between Warriors and Barbados Tridents. But a loss to the Knight Riders will set up an immediate rematch in the opening playoff qualifier between the two sides. Until then, I'm Peter Della Penna for Shashank Kishore. Take care!

Tallawahs captain Chris Gayle: "It's a disappointing one. Apologies to the Tallawahs fans. It's a tough season but credit must go to Guyana. They've been playing terrific cricket so I wish them all the best. The innings Shoaib played as a mature captain's innings. I thought we had them at 8 for 4 but we gave them too many loose balls and that gave them a bit of momentum. Guyana cricket is steady. We got beaten by a proper team. Glenn Phillips was the top scorer for the tournament but we have a lot of areas to work on."

Warriors captain Shoaib Malik named Player of the Match: "To be honest, nothing was going in my mind. I was only thinking about spending time on the pitch. Even the batsmen I was batting with, Rutherford, I told him don't play in the air. Just stick to cricketing shots and that's what he did. He gave us the momentum and from there we ended up scoring a decent total. When you lose early wickets, your goal is to bat until the 15th over and give the team something to fight for. We don't talk about going undefeated. We just tell the youngsters to give it their best shot."

9:10 pm From being 8 for 4 after eight legal balls after choosing to bat first, the Warriors have recovered, and how, to keep their perfect record intact. Shoaib Malik winds up nearly singlehandedly defeating the Tallawahs, scoring an unbeaten 73 to revive the Warriors in the first innings before the Tallawahs are bundled out for 79. The Tallawahs end with the wooden spoon for CPL 2019 while the Warriors have a chance to become the first team to run the table and go undefeated in a CPL season.

Malik to Zahir Khan, OUT

the Warriors captain appropriately ends it after his first innings heroics with the bat! Flighted full on off, slog sweeps this against the spin high and deep but can't clear Rutherford at deep midwicket. He takes this lunging to his left three yards in from the rope.

Malik to Zahir Khan, SIX runs

flighted full on off, charges and carves this inside out over wide long-off, Hetmyer runs 20 yards right and flings himself at this along the rope but it just evades his fingertips and hits the foam padding flush on the full.

Tahir to Jacobs, OUT

googly does him in! Charges again, but this time pitches it on a fullish length on fifth stump, Jacobs with a wild heave and it spins back into middle and leg stump with sharp turn. Tahir is so exhausted he can't even sprint through half the outfield to celebrate this and settles with a fist pump.

Tahir to Jacobs, no run

missed stumping! Ugly allround. Jacobs charged a loopy full toss that passed his bat at knee height outside off running past it. But Pooran couldn't collect it cleanly as it lodged in his pads allowing Jacobs to get back.

15.4
Tahir to Jacobs, no run

goes across his stumps to play another paddle sweep to a fullish length ball on around fourth stump, it's a googly spinning past his bat back towards the pads, lbw appeal denied. Look like he was hit outside off.

Paul to Green, OUT

Paul's short ball plan pays off on the third attempt! Bangs this in short on off again, Green goes back playing a hopeless looking pull and skies a top edge. It swirls behind the stumps and Pooran jogs a touch to his left to claim it comfortably.

almost a double Malinga tonight too! Back of a length on off pings Jacobs in front of middle stump but hit a fraction high, lbw appeal denied and they scamper a leg bye.

Slip in now.

Paul to Litton Das, OUT

Team hat-trick for the second time tonight! A hit me ball sitting up back of a length on fourth stump, Liton could have crushed this anywhere but plays a half-hearted short-arm jab pull neither keeping it down nor really going for elevation and picks out the man at short midwicket, who takes this at thigh height.

Keemo Paul on for the first time tonight.

Qais to Khan, OUT

through the gate with a topspinner! Pitches on a good length on off stump and just goes straight on. Poor technique by Imran leaving a big gap and he's castled hitting the top of off. Qais goes for the flying karate kick this time running through midwicket in delight. He won't have a hat-trick ball though as that ends his spell.

Slip in for Imran Khan.

Qais to Smith, OUT

leading edge back to Qais sparks a backflip celebration! This googly is bowled much quicker on a fullish length on fourth stump, Smith goes back instead of forward reading this out of the hand but doesn't adjust to the change of pace and is out in front flicking to midwicket, the ball lobs up gently to the left of Qais who takes a step to latch on and then does his gymnastics exercises for the Providence crowd to see.
