They started poorly in the Powerplay, with a run-rate of only six after six overs, but after that, they cruised to victory, thanks to Phillips at the top and Asif right at the end. Happy faces for the Jamaica team, who finished last last year.
Daren Sammy, losing captain: "The difference was the way both teams bowled in the back end. The way Chase played his role, was a good sign for us going forward. But credit must go to Russell, the way he bowled at the end. We wanted 170 ish. I came in at No 7 because I wanted Nabi to face Mujeeb. In another game, I'll come up the order.
