1.40am Didn't think we'd get to a finish tonight, but we have. What a chase this has been from Islamabad United. Credit to Brad Haddin and Dwayne Smith to steer this chase into the home stretch before Shane Watson saw them through with a sprightly cameo at the end. Some of the bottom-handed shots he played were simply sensational. Peshawar Zalmi have themselves to blame. They should have never got less than 220, but a collapse after Kamran Akmal's exhilarating 88 meant the target was well within reach. Rain reduced the game by two overs. And we're finally through. Peshawar Zalmi will be back on the field in less than 24 hours. Phew, good luck to them. Hope you enjoyed the coverage, folks. I'm back again for the second game on Friday. Until then, it's goodbye. Cheers!

Brad Haddin is the Player of the Match for his 39-ball 73.

This is Islamabad United's sixth successive win. Haddin has four fifties in them. Really, he's retired? The Australians, who are about to play four Tests in India, wouldn't mind having him in the squad!

Jordan to Billings, FOUR runs, pulled into the gap, signs off with a boundary! Crunched that into the gap superbly. First win of PSL 2017 belongs to defending champs Islamabad United

Plenty of chat between both batsmen. Dean Jones, their head coach, is tensed too. Billings unhappy with movement behind the sightsceen

Jordan to Billings, 2 runs, steered into the gap at deep extra cover, easy two there

Prashanth: "Dear commentator, do you have work tomorrow?" Who says this is work? #Passion

Jordan to Watson, 1 run, slashed to point, they steal a run. Good stop there but Billings was halfway through the run when Watson took off. Watson wasn't running to the danger end and so was happy to get across anyway
Jordan to Billings, 1 run, into the blockhole, squeezed to long-on. Sensible from Billings
Jordan to Billings, 1 wide, starts off with a poor delivery down leg. May have been distracted by Billing's movement outside the line of off stump.

Things could yet get interesting. Jordan has been seen as a death overs specialist in recent times. He's proved himself too. Will have seven to defend. First ball to his England team-mate, who he spent plenty of time together in India very recently

Junaid Khan to Smith, OUT, dolly of a catch to long-on. What was the need to look for an ugly hoick, you must ask. Smith looks to back away and slog across the line but it was a slower delivery and so he's completely deceived by the change in pace. Was through with the stroke, which he checked at the last moment, as the ball lobbed to the fielder. He's played well though, a half-century during the course of two important partnerships

DR Smith c Jordan b Junaid Khan 55 (49b 8x4 1x6) SR: 112.24

Junaid Khan to Smith, no run, looks to slash over point but was cramped for room, beaten
Junaid Khan to Watson, 1 run, doesn't get hold of the pull as well as he would have liked this time, down to wide long-on
Junaid Khan to Watson, FOUR runs, this time he pitches short, Watson is waiting for it as he pulls him in front of square, one bounce into the deep midwicket boundary
Junaid Khan to Watson, SIX runs, comes back to over the wicket, but the result is the same. Another full toss, another swing across the line. This time it's over long-on. Poor from a man of Junaid's experience. Surely that's that as far as the game is concerned?
Junaid Khan to Watson, (no ball) SIX runs, Terrible, terrible delivery. Full toss over the waist, umpire had his hand out even before the shot was played. Watson sees the opportunity and biffs this into the stands at deep midwicket. Is that the turning point? Islamabad into the home stretch
Junaid Khan to Smith, 1 run, low full toss on middle from around the stumps, pushed to long-off

Nabeel: "It's getting tense now. Keep Jordan for last over."
