swept high in the air, but falling safely in front of the fielder at deep square leg, and that's the game
Qalandars vs Sultans, 29th Match at Karachi, PSL, Mar 11 2019 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Sultans won by 7 wickets (with 45 balls remaining)
5.01pm Multan Sultans have won the basement battle in startling fashion in Karachi, positively sprinting through their chase to finish with more than seven overs to spare. Sultans bring their PSL 2019 to an end with a seven-wicket win, while Lahore Qalandars finish last once again. Shahid Afridi couldn't quite secure the finish a loving crowd were hoping for at the end, but he put in a vintage performance with the ball earlier with a most economical 2 for 18. A score of 140 was never going to be quite enough, but the ferocity with which the Sultans top order attacked their target was a spectacle to behold. A whopping 78 runs came from the Powerplay, the 100 was raised in the eighth over, and by the time Boom Boom got to the crease, the match was won.
Wonderful scenes in Karachi as Afridi does a circuit of the ground to bid his fans farewell in what may well be his final PSL game. He's roundly cheered all the way, and laps it up.
Mohammad Abbas is Man of the Match for his 3 for 22. And the gist, from a post-match interview with Afridi, is that we may not have seen the last of him after all. But it is time for me to go now. Thanks for tuning in everyone, and goodbye (until next time).
shahadat Awan: "Even after 23 years the intensity with which he gets cheered from the crowd is still the same. That's Sahibzada Shahid Khan Afridi for you"
Jamil Sarwar: "Good bye Sahibzada Shahid Khan Afridi from cricket but hope to see you in somewhere helping humanity socially." -- Who knows, we may not have seen the last of Afridi, though those images did suggest a farewell
Abhijato: "My Crystal Ball still wears the bandana, and now we know who it's talking about! The misty sphere and Lala are the best of friends ever since the ageless warrior taught the Ball how to spread its metaphorical arms with glory. He's the most entertaining cricketer either of us have ever seen. Cheers StarMan, and cheers Mr Brickhill!"

Rizwan : "Come On Lalaaaa....... !!!!!"
very full, and Afridi keeps the crowd waiting by digging a full one out to cover
Slip and leg slip in place
googly, turning in, and it's pushed back to the bowler
With the scores level, the game is paused as they take a timeout ...
Abdullah Arif: "We want Afridi 6, we want Afridi 6"
Charles swings a meaty hit into the leg side, one bounce and the scores are level
swiped out to wide long on, and they rush back for a second
Gunaratne comes around the stumps and delivers a slow offcutter, Charles missing an attempted sweep
ShehryarAhmed: "Charles got a lot of cheering for that single off the first ball. You don't even get this kind of cheering after hitting a six or taking a wicket "
full, dug out to cover
dropped in the deep! Afridi slogs it high into the leg side, and the fielder just about gets under it but can't hold the chance
Afridi on strike, no pressure and a tempting medium pacer bowling
massive cheer from the crowd as Charles finds a single through square leg
Gunaratne is on to bowl some medium pace with the keeper up
another full one, and yet again Charles keeps strike with a single. The crowd don't seem too pleased, they're desperate to watch Afridi have a hit
another short one, this one looping over the ducking batsman at 143km/h
short, fast and gloved down the leg side! Good wheels from Rauf, but it was misdirected down the leg side to start with
another full one snakes in at high pace, Charles toe-ending a big drive to midwicket
ShehryarAhmed: "Liam, Afridi was not just walking as a gladiator. He was walking like a sultan, a qalandar, a king, a zalmi, as well as a gladiator. And he has all the right to walk like that"
pinpoint stuff once again from Rauf, the ball tailing in to endanger Charles' toes
sharp yorker from Haris Rauf, and it's dug out to midwicket
another low full toss, and Charles whips it out to deep square leg to keep the strike
it's a low full toss and he can't quite get under it, clubbing it down to long on for a single
whoops, no ball from Wiese, and they cross, giving Afridi first dibs on a Free Hit
Here he is. Shahid Afridi walks out like a gladiator, and is greeted with a tremendous reception from the rapturous crowd
Wiese comes around the stumps, and finally a top edge is pouched! Shan Masood backed away and hacked across it to send the ball almost straight up. Wiese points to the fielder as the catch is called for, and it's safely held
Saad: "@asad, the second note is also positive as Qalenders will again get the chance to have a first platinum pick at next psl draft :-D"
chopped to point, where a diving fielder stops the ball but can't stop the run
