Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited 202 and 9 for 0 trail Peshawar 351 (Jamaluddin 124, Badshah 52, Imran Ali 4-71) by 140 runs
Jamaluddin scored a brisk century in the middle order to lead Peshawar to a commanding position against Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) in the Division Two final at the Arbab Niaz Stadium. Jamaluddin made 124 off 154 balls to set up Peshawar's total of 351, taking a first-innings lead of 149 on the second day.
Peshawar began the second day like they ended the first - shakily. They had lost two wickets with the score on 82 the previous evening, and they lost their third this morning - that of Mohammad Fayyaz - with the score on 91. Fayyaz departed for a run-a-ball 47. Peshawar would slip further, to 126 for 4, before Jamaluddin put on 100 runs with Akbar Badshah for the fourth wicket. Badshah's contribution was 52 off 151 balls.
Jamaluddin then had another significant partnership of 92 with the wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, who made 47. Once Jamaluddin was dismissed, however, the rest of Peshawar's batsmen folded quickly with Imran and Asad Ali cutting through the lower order. Imran Ali finished with 4 for 71.
SNGPL's openers faced 3.1 overs in their second innings and added 9 before stumps.
