40.2 to Mushfiqur Rahim, Knocked him over! An error in judgement from Mushfiqur costs him. I think he looked at the bounce of the previous ball and let this one go. Bumrah bowled it on a similar length - slightly fuller if anything, and angled it in from outside off. Mushfiqur thinks it is safe enough to pass over off but nope. Clips top of off!. 112/4 69.4 to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Superb bowling by Bumrah and Mehidy has to walk back. Back of a length just outside off, 141.5kph, shapes away after landing. Mehidy pokes at it and he can only edge it straight to Gill at slip. Bumrah celebrates and why not. 224/7 71.1 to Taijul Islam, Beaten for pace! Length ball around off, 139.2kph, Taijul hung back to glide it but the ball seamed back in just a touch to beat the inside edge at knock off pole. In fact, on further look at the replays, there did not seem to be much seam movement. It was pure pace that Taijul was done in by. 230/8
17 | 2 | 57 | 2 | 3.35 | 80 | 11 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
49.4 to Litton Das, that is a one-handed stunner from Rohit at mid-off! He has not only stunned Litton but might have stunned himself too. Litton countered with a step down the pitch for a powerful whack and it looked like he was going to clear mid-off after middling the horizontal slap. Rohit stayed quite still right until the end when he leapt slightly to stick his right hand up and pull it out of thin air. And he holds the arm cup in celebration. Litton is not able to move, he can't believe it!. 148/5 72.2 to Hasan Mahmud, Siraj has trapped Mahmud lbw, but he reviews. He angles it in from outside off, on the fuller band of good length. Was there an inside edge? Nope, he has misses the in-slanter and is struck on the front pad. Three reds and Bangladesh lose Mahmud and a review. 231/9
15 | 1 | 45 | 2 | 3.00 | 67 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
28.5 to Najmul Hossain Shanto, this one comes into the batter. Shanto was playing for the turn and got beaten. Gets hit on the front shin and the umpire has no hesitation in giving this out. Shanto wants to review it, though. Unless he got an inside edge, which he clearly didn't, I don't see this getting overturned. In fact, Gill had taken the "catch" in case there was an edge. UltraEdge returns no spike. It hit him in front of off and middle, and would have hit middle. 80/3 55.6 to Shakib Al Hasan, make that stunner number two of the day! Ashwin has struck in his first over and more than half the credit for that might go to Siraj for running back, he might have been looking into the sun, and grabbing that with a backward dive! Shakib came down the track and lost one hand off the bat, like Pant, but didn't middle that at all, unlike Pant. Siraj was in the circle at mid-off, and the ball went pretty high into the sky. It's very sunny today and Siraj, wearing shades, kept his eyes on the ball while back-pedalling and leapt back to grab it with his left hand. He's ended up as the Vitruvian man on the field. 170/6
15 | 6 | 43 | 2 | 2.86 | 76 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 2 | |
8.3 to Zakir Hasan, an excellent catch by Jaiswal and Deep has struck in his first over. The umpires, though, want to check the fairness of the catch. It was a length ball outside off. Zakir came forward to defend. Hard hands and gets a thick outside edge that goes low to the right of Jaiswal at slip. He goes with both hands but replays are too blurry to judge if the ball bounced before he caught it. Finally, there is one angle from which the TV umpire concludes that it went straight into the hands. And he also says there is no angle which shows the ball bounced. So Zakir departs for a 24-ball duck. 26/1 12.1 to Shadman Islam, a huge, huge appeal for lbw, especially from the bowler. Rohit has gone for the review after a bit of discussion. Was a length ball that came in with the angle. Shadman was on his toes as he looked to flick it. Got beaten and the ball-tracking shows it hit him slightly down the middle stump and would have gone on to hit a good chunk of leg stump. Bangladesh lose their second wicket. From the first replay it seemed umpire's call at best but when the projection came up, even Rohit couldn't believe it. 29/2
9.2 | 0 | 28 | 1 | 3.00 | 42 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
74.2 to Khaled Ahmed, Wicket No. 300 in Tests for Jadeja. He is the second-quickest to the mark of 300 wickets and 3000 runs in the format. Tosses it up fuller on middle, Khaled looks to turn it across but gets a leading edge. One of the more simple catching chances for Jadeja in his career. 233/10 |

14.2 to YBK Jaiswal, chopped on! Credit to Hasan for keeping such tight lines in his last two overs that forced Jasiwal to defend again and again. This one also angled in from around the wicket, but kept a little low and went through to hit the stumps. 127/2

3.5 to RG Sharma, Spins in sharply through him! Kanpur is stunned into silence. Rohit is furious and cannot believe it. Mehidy tosses it up nicely, lands it on a length outside off. Rohit comes on to the front foot but is not to the pitch of it, so tries to keep it out by transferring his weight back. But the ball turns back in sharply, keeps a bit low and beats him on the inside to clatter the stumps. Mehidy is delighted, job done. 55/1 32.2 to RA Jadeja, that's a strange dismissal, the umpire's finger has silenced the crowd and Jadeja is walking off! He came down the track and Mehidy did well to drop it short and hit him on the pad. The ball then lobbed to Shanto at cover and he's been given out caught. That must have been bat-pad then. 269/6 34.1 to KL Rahul, Beaten by bounce as he comes down the track and KL Rahul is stumped! Mehidy smartly bowled that short and outside off after seeing Rahul dancing down. The batter tried to whack it on off but the bounce beat his bat, Litton collected that around chest height off a spinner and did well to take the bails off. 284/8 34.4 to Akash Deep, don't pitch it up to him! Akash Deep has smoked that down the ground but on this occasion it doesn't have the distance and a tumbling long-on gets under it. 285/9

17.1 to Shubman Gill, Gill holes out in a bid to attack. Tossed up outside off, he dances down the track to go over the bowler's head. But the ball spins away a touch and he ends up slicing it high in the air. Easy catch for Mahmud at long-off. 141/3 19.2 to RR Pant, Another miscue, Pant falls now. Shakib slows it down, tosses it up wider outside off. Pant gets down on a knee to slog it over the on side but has to fetch it from outside off. Ends up dragging it to Mahmud at long-on. India losing some quick wickets in quest for quick runs.... 159/4 29.1 to V Kohli, No fifty for Kohli, Shakib gets his third. Tossed up from slightly wide of the crease, lands on off and goes on with the arm. Kohli goes for the slog but misses and is cleaned up. Mimes the sweep later. 246/5 33.3 to R Ashwin, some dying "ooohhh"s from the crowd as Ashwin loses off stump! Tried to make room, Shakib darted one flat towards off stump and he missed the fiercely intended cut. 272/7 |

36.3 to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Bumrah comes back and has Miraz nicking behind to Pant. India are just two away from skittling Bangladesh. On a fuller side of a good length, angling in and then straightening away outside off. Miraz plays for the angle, like he'd done in the last two balls, but this leaves him. He can only edge it behind with Pant pocketing another smart diving catch. 118/8 40.4 to Taijul Islam, This looks adjacent and the finger goes up. After pushing Taijul back with the short stuff, Bumrah slips in the full one once again. This is the slower, fuller one - offcutter. Taijul has no clue about this. He plays back, closes the bat-face and misses the ball as it hits his pad. No bat involved and UltraEdge confirms it. Ball-tracking indicates that it would've crashed into leg stump. Three reds and Taijul has to go for a 13-ball duck. 130/9 46.6 to Mushfiqur Rahim, Another Bumrah special. Slower offcutter, 125ks, he bursts through the defences of Mushfiqur and knocks out middle stump. What a sight! Bumrah and India soak it in. Mushfiqur goes for the booming drive but is bowled through the gate. 146/10

7.1 to Zakir Hasan, trapped right in front and that's given! Going by real-time, quite surprised that he has reviewed that. The loopy delivery straightened after pitching on leg, Zakir played the wrong line completely just outside leg and since there's no edge, ball-tracking shows that's hitting middle stump. Ashwin gets the breakthrough!. 18/1 9.4 to Hasan Mahmud, loses his patience and leg stump! Ashwin has been bowling on the stumps and Hasan comes down to slog it to the leg side, misses that one and the ball turns from middle to knock over leg stump. Gone with just five minutes left in the day. 26/2 13.3 to Mominul Haque, caught at leg slip, Ashwin gets the breakthrough and the big wicket of Mominul! Mominul swept so confidently and bravely yesterday during his century but today it leads to his downfall. The ball pitching outside leg probably tempted him to sweep and it took a thick upper edge off the bat to land in KL Rahul's hands. Sharp catch after some fumbles yesterday from Rahul. 36/3
8 | 3 | 20 | 1 | 2.50 | 40 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 1 | |
28.4 to Shadman Islam, Shadman loses his focus and the set batter is caught at gully. Hemp won't be pleased with this. Full and wide - possibly wider than a set of stumps outside off - Shadman reaches out for the wide line with hard hands at stabs at the ball. The thick outside edge flies to Jaiswal. Akash Deep snags Shadman for the second time in this Kanpur Test. 93/5

27.2 to Najmul Hossain Shanto, And Jadeja strikes with his second ball! Pushed through flat and quick on leg stump from left-arm over. Shanto aims to throw Jadeja off that line with a reverse-sweep but he misses the shot altogether and sees Jadeja rattle his leg stump. Shanto tries the reverse first ball against Jadeja and falls. 91/4 29.6 to Litton Das, Jadeja and Pant think they have their man. Yes, the finger goes up and Litton doesn't even bother to review this. Turn and bounce outside off for Jadeja. After sliding a few into Litton, he takes one away from him with some extra bounce and gets rid of him. On a length and turns away outside off, Litton prods at it and can only feather it behind off the glove to Pant. The keeper rides the bounce and pouches it. 94/6 31.2 to Shakib Al Hasan, Oh Shakib, what have you done? He has simply spooned it back to the bowler. Slower through the air on off, Jadeja finds some grip and this sort of stops on Shakib, forcing him to check his drive. Shakib can only chip it right back to the bowler. Three wickets inside three overs for Jadeja. Last act for Shakib in Test cricket?. 94/7 |

2.1 to RG Sharma, and Rohit attacks and perishes! He middles that sweep behind square and that ball has rocketed to Hasan at long leg where he pouches it with both hands around chest height. Mehidy gets Rohit for the second time in the game. 18/1 4.5 to Shubman Gill, sharp turn to bring the ball in a mile, lbw given on field and Gill reviews after consulting Jaiswal. that looked out to me if there's no edge. Sharp turn from just short of length from well outside off, it struck him right in front of off stump on the back foot and bal-tracking says it's hitting middle of middle. 34/2
