Batting with a squash ball in your glove can be an uncomfortable experience, but not for Adam Gilchrist, who made 149 off 104 balls in a World Cup title match that way. It led Australia to their third World Cup title on the trot, after a comprehensive demolition of Sri Lanka in a rain-reduced final.
