An 87-ball 103 from Mohammad Rizwan helped Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Fighters secure the Pentangular One Day Cup with a six-wicket win in the final against Baluchistan Warriors in Karachi. Set 239 for victory, Fighters lost their opener Israullah early, but Rizwan put up 50-plus stands for the third and fourth wickets with Adil Amin (58) and Adnan Raees (36) to guide the team home in 47 overs. Rizwan struck 11 fours and a six during his unbeaten ton, while Amin's 58 featured seven fours. For Warriors, Ehsan Adil, Zia-ul-Haq, Kashif Bhatti and Azhar Ali claimed a wicket each.
Earlier, Warriors, having been inserted, had scored 238 from 47 overs. Their innings was built around a centurion of their own - Sami Aslam, who blazed 119 off 123 balls with 13 fours and a six. Aslam and Ayaz Tasawwar shared in a 64-run partnership for the fifth wicket, but Aslam did not receive much by way of support from anybody else, as a five-for from Junaid Khan (5 for 45) rattled the team's top and middle order before Yasir Shah (2 for 22) and Zafar Gohar (2 for 52) cleaned up the tail.
