The mistimed dive or losing one's trousers?
Which is more embarrassing? R Ashwin slid too early and then lost his balance to trip again while chasing a leg-bye that rolled over for four, and S Badrinath lost his pants when trying to stop one at third man. Thankfully, Badrinath had it all pretty well covered in the end. Take your pick.
The shot of the day
Rahul Dravid was dominant against the Chennai spinners on a track suited for them, and amid the cuts, pulls, flicks and dabs, the one shot that stood out was an inside-out drive over extra cover off Shadab Jakati. Bowling from round the wicket, Jakati angled one in with a bit of air on middle. Dravid had eyed his spot, made a bit of room and placed the ball perfectly with a beautifully-timed chip between long-off and deep cover.
The stunner
Jakati recovered quickly and how. Shane Watson played an absolutely meaty swipe towards the bowler off a length delivery and Jakati, brave as he is, plucked it overhead out of thin air to leave the batsman shell-shocked. The interception was a significant one, as it was the trigger that turned the game around for Chennai.
The nightmare
A day to forget for Stuart Binny. He had nowhere to hide in front of a sizeable crowd at the Chidambaram Stadium when he fumbled a drive from Michael Hussey at mid-off to concede a boundary. Trying to make up for that lapse, he conceded four overthrows two balls later while needlessly attempting a direct hit at the non-striker's end. Shane Warne had him in his sights on both occasions, and there was more to come, as Binny shied at the keeper's end the same over and let another run through. He was given a chance to make amends with the ball, but that did not turn out too well either as he was slashed for consecutive fours by Hussey.
The decisive blow
It was in the 11th over of the Rajasthan innings that Chennai were able to spark a turnaround. After having reached a comfortable position themselves, they weren't going to let it slip at the same stage in their chase. Instead, they stepped up the attack, with Michael Hussey and Suresh Raina each charging out to Nayan Doshi and depositing him over wide long-on. The pair looked in complete control, and their opponents were left with no answers.
