Rikki Clarke and Gareth Cross have received penalties under the ECB's discipline code following separate incidents of dissent last week.
During Warwickshire's Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Leicestershire on July 25, Clarke was reported by Umpires Mark Benson and Mark Eggleston for a Level Two breach of the code (showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action).
He has received three penalty points, which will remain on his record for a period of two years. The accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension.
During Lancashire's Second XI Championship game against MCC Young Cricketers on July 21-23, Cross was reported by Umpires Steve O'Shaughnessy and Hugh Evans for a Level One breach of the code (showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action).
He has received a reprimand. This penalty will remain on his record for a period of two years. Any further Level One breach during that period will result in an automatic imposition of three penalty points.
