The Hong Kong Women's Cricket team travels to Bangladesh this Wednesday March 19th, for an inaugural tour of the test playing nation. After losing to Bangladesh last year in the semi finals of the ACC tournament, Hong Kong are keen to redeem themselves in a four match series. The team has six new faces from the tournament in Malaysia and is focusing on the future with a number of young players.
"This tour is a tremendous learning opportunity for the team," said Hong Kong Team Manager, Lisa Cameron. "The team has been working and training hard over the past three months and this tour is an exciting chance for many of our young players to taste international cricket," continued Ms Cameron.
The tour is the first stage in a busy two year programme; later in the year is the ACC U19 tournament and next year the ACC/Asian Games qualifying tournament.
The team will be hoping Neisha Pratt continues her outstanding club form and will be looking to young stars; Godiva Li, Keenu Gill, Charlotte Chan and Betty Chan for all round performances.
The team will play two 50 over games in Bogra on March 23rd and 25th and two in Dhaka on March 27th and 29th.
