Scorecard
The Warriors refused to give up throughout their encounter with the Eagles at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth; it was an approach that was rewarded, for they won their low-scoring PRO20 Series semi-final by eight runs and found a place in the finals. Right until the end this victory appeared unlikely. The Eagles, at 90 for 4, were only 30 behind the target set by the Warriors with five overs to get there. Loots Bosman, who had made 33 off 14 balls, had provided the impetus for the chase. But inexplicably, panic set in. Pieter Strydom, Robin Peterson and Johan Botha put the breaks on the scoring with their spin and wickets fell. It fell to the last over, where 13 runs were required. But Tyron Henderson bowled an excellent over.
Earlier, the Warriors' innings never gained momentum and, at 40 for 5 after seven overs, they were all but out of the game. A struggle to survive began as Peterson and Strydom came together for the sixth wicket. They put on 40 together. Strydom went on to end on 34 not out.
The Warriors will meet the Titans in the final at SuperSport Park on April 27.
