Kambli set for Mumbai comeback

Vinod Kambli has been named in a list of contenders for the Mumbai team that will take part in the forthcoming domestic season. He returns to the squad after a stint at state team Boland in South Africa. The Mumbai probables begin a 45-day training camp at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai, on July 28.
Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar has been allowed to withdraw from the from the training camp for Mumbai Ranji probables. He will practice and train by himself ahead of the Irani trophy match in Chennai, where Mumbai take on Rest of India.
Avishar Salvi and Wasim Jaffer, away doing duty with India A, are expected to join the training camp on their return. Also missing are Ramesh Powar, Vinayak Mane and Sairaj Bahutule, who are playing club cricket in England.
