Mashrafe is suffering his second successive injury

Mashrafe-bin-Mortaza, regardless recognized as the fastest bowler of the country, will be missing two Test series that Bangladesh are going to take on from July this year. The right-arm new ball operator suffers a knee injury that forces him to take an eight-month lay-off from any sort of cricket.

The kid, after coming back from Chennai where he had to undergo a knee operation, disclosed this dismaying information. This is certainly a big blow for Bangladesh team as he is the best striking bowler currently they have. It is worth mentioning that Bangladesh will tour Sri Lanka in June and South Africa in September and Mashrafe will miss both.

After his sparkling performance against Zimbabwe and a reasonably good feat in New Zealand, he was ruled out of the home series against Pakistan in January 2002, as he raised a back injury. Gradually he was pulling with from that one, but unfortunately had to put up with this knee injury that had developed recently.

A renowned Daily has divulged some facts concerning the second injury. It said, Mashrafe suffered the knee injury while he was in his village home in Narail district last month. He admitted that he injured his knee while he was skipping rope. Mashrafe's leg tangled with the rope while he was doing the skipping and finally fell on the ground and hurt his knee.

This leading bowler has taken 12 wickets 4 Tests with an average of 31.16.
