Edwards inspires England win

Charlotte Edwards' 96* inspired England's series-clinching 8-wicket win over South Africa at Taunton. England's 8-wickets victory over South Africa at Taunton clinched the 5-match series. Uthand's -wicketland's women won the fourth match in their five-match series against South Africa at Taunton by eight wickets to clinch the series.

After winning the toss and choosing to field, South Africa totalled 222 for seven -- the highest innings score in the series to date.

But England were up to the task. Opener Charlotte Edwards carried her bat for an unbeaten 96 and fittingly hit the winning boundary.

England won the first two rain-affected games at Chelmsford and Trent Bridge before South Africa broke their duck in a nail-biting finish at Canterbury. The fifth match in the series takes place at Worcester on Saturday.
