Otago has picked up another out-of-town player to contest a place in its Shell Trophy squad this summer.
Canterbury top order batsman Craig Cumming has decided to break his connection with the red and blacks and head south.
From Timaru, Cumming has played 36 first-class matches for 1993 runs at an average of 32.67. He has a best score of 187, with two centuries to his credit.
He will join Lee Germon, Kerry Walmsley and Craig Pryor in the Otago line-up.
Cumming is playing cricket in Europe at the moment.
