Moin Khan delighted at success

Talking to newsmen at a post-match press conference, Moin specially picked dashing opener Imran Nazir for tributes

Sharjah, March 31: A delighted Pakistan captain Moin Khan was all praise for his boys for what he called "a tremendous fightback to win the Sharjah Cup."
Talking to newsmen at a post-match press conference, Moin specially picked dashing opener Imran Nazir for tributes. "Imran's knock actually turned the game around for us but I am not forgetting Waqar Younis here who bowled so well throughout the tournament to make the triumph possible," Moin said to the applause of a large Pakistani crowd on Friday evening.
South Africa captain Hansie Cronje said: "Pakistan deserved this win after staging a great fightback. We gave them (Pakistanis) a good fight but in the end we were not left with many wickets."
"Waqar's second spell did the trick for Pakistan. We tried to push the run-rate but in the end we were beaten by a better side," said Cronje who provided South Africa innings a backbone with a fiery 79.
Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis, who walked away with a bag full of prizes, including Man-of-the-Match, Man-of-the-Tournament and Manof-the-Series, said that it was a hard wicket to bowl in the evening as the ball and the outfield were getting wet.
"But I enjoyed every moment of the match and I am very pleased with my performance for Pakistan lately.
"I hope my good form continues in West Indies," said Waqar smilingly.
