Fantasy Picks: Kamran Akmal and Moeen Ali could do the trick

Fantasy suggestions for the PSL match between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi

February 26: PSL - Multan Sultans v Peshawar Zalmi, Multan

Our XI: Kamran Akmal, Shan Masood, James Vince, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Zeeshan Ashraf, Mohammad Ilyas, Imran Tahir, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Amir Khan
Captain: Kamran Akmal
Kamran Akmal is quite the PSL legend, and has consistently been among the top run-getters in the competition. He has started this season brilliantly too, with scores of 43 and 101. His strike rate this season so far is 177.77.
Vice-captain: Moeen Ali
Ali hasn't quite put in a match-defining performance yet but we are backing him to do it in this game. Last year, in the T20 Blast, Ali scored 333 runs from No. 3 for his team at a strike rate of 177. He is batting at the same position this season for the Sultans. He has also picked up two wickets in the two games so far.
Hot Picks
Liam Livingstone: Livingstone is the finisher this season for Peshawar, and scored a fantastic 29-ball 54 against Karachi Kings in their opening game and almost won the game for his side.
Zeeshan Ashraf: Ashraf walked in at 70 for 3 in the tenth over against Islamabad United and scored a fluent 29-ball 50, and batsmen coming in and getting out at the other end didn't affect him one bit. His career strike rate in T20s is 120.65.
James Vince: Almost like his countrymate Ali, Vince has shown glimpses of his capability but hasn't made it big yet. He is in good touch and the 42 off 31 against Islamabad proved it, but this could be the match in which makes a difference.
Value Picks
Mohammad Amir Khan: After his success at the Under-19 World Cup, Amir was impressive in the first PSL game he played. Bowling to the likes of Shane Watson, Jason Roy and Ahmed Shehzad in the Powerplay, he kept things quiet. He has a happy knack of picking up wickets.
Imran Tahir: Tahir had a fantastic game to start with against Lahore Qalandars, in which he picked up 2 for 21 in his four overs. The tables completely turned in the next game against Islamabad, where he was sent for 44 runs in his four overs. But a player of his calibre can't be ignored.
Shan Masood: The Multan skipper has got two starts in as many games in PSL 2019. He scored a 38 and 21 in the two games and both those innings included some delightful shots. If he doesn't throw his wicket away, Masood can make a big splash.
Points to note
  • This will be the first PSL game in Multan. So pick the in-form and experienced players as there isn't sufficient information about the pitch.
