Barbados and Jamaica win

Barbados's victory gave them the trophy, and there were also wins for Jamaica, Guyana and the Windward Islands

Barbados and Windward Islands recorded resounding wins, and there was an innings win for Guyana against West Indies B. But the match, the real contest, of the day, was the low-scoring Jamaica v Trinidad and Tobago encounter. Barbados's victory was enough to clinch the trophy, giving them an unassailable lead atop the standings.

Barbados 432 (Campbell 211*) beat Leeward Islands 161 and 223(Willett 63, Joseph 63) by an innings and 48 runs
Scorecard

Barbados ran roughshod over Leeward Islands with an innings and 48 runs victory. Leeward Islands put up a better performance following-on, but could not do enough to avert a massive defeat. Sylvester Joseph (50) and Tonito Willett (63) battled it out and scored valuable half-centuries, putting on 108 runs for the third wicket, but once they were out, barring a 42 by Carl Tuckett, the batting crumbled. Collins had the best bowling figures with 3 for 46.

Leeward Islands could not stop Barbados, and Sherwin Campbell in particular, from scoring heavily on the first day. Campbell ended unbeaten on 211, and his knock stood out even more, as no one else could get past 49. The bowlers then took over and dismissed Leeward Islands for 161 and 223, giving Barbados an innings win in three days - and an unassailable lead at the top of the Carib Beer Cup standings.

Windward Islands 357 for 1 (Smith 180, Currency 121*) beat Kenya 152 (Thomas 8-28) and 179 by an innings and 26 runs
Scorecard

A triple-century stand was the highlight of a game where Kenya could do nothing right, and Windward Islands won by an innings and 26 runs. After dismissing Kenya for 152, Windward Islands' openers batted for more than a day and put on 309, until Martin Suji dismissed Devon Smith for 180. But Rommel Currency carried on and was unbeaten on 121 when the innings was declared at 357 for 1.

Kenya then bettered their first innings total with 179, even as two front-line batsmen did not bat. Kennedy Otieno, Steve Tikolo, and Collins Obuya all scored forties, but the bowlers picked up wickets at regular intervals. It didn't take long for the innings, the game, and a complete rout, to come to an end.

Jamaica 147 and 266 for 7 (Pagon 94; Bravo 4-32) beat Trinidad and Tobago 229 (Kanhai 111, S Ganga 64) and 182 (D Ganga 77) by three wickets
Scorecard

Jamaica edged out a tense three-wicket victory thanks largely to Donovan Pagon and Maurice Kepple, who added 116 for the second wicket. After Kepple was bowled by Reyad Emrit for 55, Tamar Lambert joined Pagon in a 78-run partnership that took Jamaica to within 34 of victory. Despite late heroics from Marlon Black and Dwayne Bravo, Jamaica held on.

They had turned the match around the previous day, dismissing Trinidad and Tobago for 182, after they had started the day on 76 for 1, a lead of 158. Incisive bowling from Andrew Richardson and Odean Brown, who both claimed four wickets, transformed the match, with only Darren Ganga (77) offering resistance. After that, Pagon came to the fore, with his match-winning 94.

Guyana 419 (Sarwan 95, Dowlin 94) beat West Indies B 228 (M Nagamootoo 5-100) and 187 (Washington 58; McGarrell 4-28) by an innings and one run
Scorecard

Neil McGarrell completed the formalities on the fourth day, bowling Guyana to an emphatic innings victory, after their batsmen had set up the game over the first four sessions. Mahendra Nagamootoo had taken 5 for 100, as Guyana took a 191-run first-innings lead, and McGarrell's 4 for 28 completed the demolition job. Only Dwight Washington, with 58, defied the Guyana bowlers.

Guyana owed their 419 to Ramnaresh Sarwan and Travis Dowlin, both of whom missed out on hundreds in a solid batting display.
