12.4 to TK Musakanda, length ball outside off and Kumara is appealing!, a faster ball that hurries the batsman and the ball goes past his outside edge. Sri Lanka review. There was a slight sound while the straight drive was played, not sure if that's a slight edge or just the whooshing noise of the bat's stroke. The third umpire is using that rock-and-roll feature to determine that. Yes, slight edge.. Umpire Gould changes his decision, and the debutant has to go.. 38/3
94.4 to CR Ervine, bangs it in short, and he's got his man! Slanted across the left-hander, steep bounce. Looks to stay next to the line and carve it over fine third man. Doesn't hit it as fine as he'd like, and Dilruwan, running to his right at third man, takes a good, tumbling catch. 356/10
32411653.621289200
7.3 to RW Chakabva, bowled him, and that's an absolute beaut. The arm ball - it drifts in and continues on along that trajectory after pitching. Not the greatest shot from Chakabva - it was dipping onto a good length, nowhere near full enough to be driving away from his body like that. Big gate, and Rangaiah bursts through it. Hang on - just watched the replay, and he was actually looking to whip that from off stump, against non-existent turn, through midwicket.. 23/1
11.5 to H Masakadza, lovely flight and drift, and Masakadza has to go. Presses forward to defend, ends up playing outside the line because of that delicious inward drift, and inside-edges into his pad. Short leg takes a good catch tumbling forward. 38/2
39.5 to Sikandar Raza, is that pad first? Nigel Llong thinks so. Presses forward to defend, playing for turn, and there is no turn. Bat comes down a little late, looked like it was behind his pad. Raza has reviewed... It looks like pad first to me, and then inside edge. Looks like it's in line with the stumps too. Umpire's call, and ball-tracking says it'll hit the inside of off stump, near the top. Classic Herath dismissal, draws level with Malcolm Marshall.. 154/5
63.2 to MN Waller, bowled him, that's poor technique from Waller. Really poor. Goes back to a flat length ball pitching on off and middle, playing for trajectory rather than length. And he doesn't get across with his back foot either. Ends up leg-side of the ball instead, and it rips past his outside edge and hits off stump. Staying leg-side of the ball has helped him score freely through point and cover point, but along comes a ball like this, and he's in trouble. 260/7
93.5 to DT Tiripano, gone, Herath has a five-for! The reverse-sweep was a productive shot for Tiripano yesterday, but it's a risky shot with slip in place. Ball pitches outside off, dipping a little shorter than Tiripano would like, and he ends up gloving it to the fielder at slip. 356/9
2408613.58916101
20.5 to SC Williams, full outside off and he looks to sweep that into the vacant square leg region. Finds the top edge, instead. The extra bounce does him in and finds the top edge of his sweeping bat, Gunaratne runs to short fine leg and pockets that.. 70/4
702824.00292004
51.6 to PJ Moor, in the air, again! and the new bowler strikes. It was in the slot to be hit, full and on middle. Moor makes a little bit of room and hits that straight down the ground. At first glance it seemed like a six off the bat but the more you waited, the more you realised that it was going to fall short. Holes out to long on. His bat turned while he tried to hit that. Kumara almost made a mess of the catch but positioned himself under it eventually. 195/6
73.5 to AG Cremer, A beautiful ball from Gunaratne!, floated into the stumps from around the wicket, he tries the cover drive and the ball goes straight through Cremer's bat and pad. The ball clips just the top of the stumps. And he's got to go. The umpires have a look for the no-ball since Gunaratne has been guilty of that in the past. No, he's good this time. Cremer has to go.. 282/8

24.2 to FDM Karunaratne, and that's a sensational catch at slip! Shortish, perhaps not enough width to cut. Slashes hard, gets a thick edge, and Masakadza barely has time to react, grabs it two-handed over his head while falling backwards. 84/1
1826003.33732200
39.3412553.1615111001
29.4 to BKG Mendis, Zimbabwe are roaring back to life here, that's a super delivery. Flight, dip, and sharp turn outside off. Reaches out, away from his body, in defence, and the ball clips the shoulder of the bat and Chakabva takes an excellent catch, over his right shoulder. 107/2
60.3 to LD Chandimal, lovely, lovely delivery, and that's another superb catch by Chakabva. Gets a bit of drift in towards middle and off, gets it to dip as well, and Chandimal is nowhere near the pitch in defence. Ripping turn and bounce, hit the shoulder of the bat, and Chakabva rides the bounce and makes it look so easy. 212/4
64.4 to N Dickwella, bowled him! Not the greatest shot from Dickwella. He's been a little loose right through this innings. Not short enough to cut, and it doesn't even pitch that far outside off. Just stays leg-side of the ball and stabs at it with an angled bat. Turns back in and cannons into the stumps off the inside edge and back pad. 226/5
96.5 to RAS Lakmal, slower through the air on leg stump, breaks away just enough with bounce. Lakmal dares to play against the spin, and only lobs a leading edge back to the bowler. Cremer clings onto the overhead catch. Asela isn't pleased. 343/9
102.3 to DAS Gunaratne, and that's Cremer's five-for! A lead of 10 for Zimbabwe. Pushes this one through, flatter and quicker outside off. Gunaratne stays back. The ball skids on, kisses the inside edge and clatters into the stumps. A crucial hand from Gunaratne.. 346/10
10202.0040000
2336222.69984102
69.4 to AD Mathews, taken, that's brilliant from Masakadza! Looks for the lap-sweep from outside off, premeditates. The ball is a touch on the short side for that shot, and it loops up off the top half of the bat, behind the keeper, to his left. Masakadza turns around at slip, sprints some 15 yards, and then dives forward to take it two-handed. 238/6
91.5 to HMRKB Herath, Chakabva fumbles once. Twice. But still has enough time to swipe the bails off hurriedly. Herath has to exit now. He dashes down the track, Williams pushes it flatter and wider outside off. The ball dips, which means the batsman can't squeeze it out. Herath misses the ball by a long distance. Chakabva makes a mess but cleans it up on the third attempt to break the stand. 322/8

3.1 to RW Chakabva, that's terrific bowling. No chance for Chakabva. Herath slows this way down, but drags the length back too. Pitches on middle. Chakabva plays the line - it's the new ball after all. There is just enough turn and the ball spins to hit the off stump. The top of off. Chakabva didn't miss that by much, but by enough. Beauty. Unplayable.. 14/1
5.4 to TK Musakanda, another wicket. Herath on fire before lunch. Plenty of flight on off, loopy in fact. Musakanda hasn't had anything to be aggressive to so he eyes up this one. Looks to, inexplicably I might add, drag a flick through midwicket. The ball gets enough turn to take the outside edge. Lobs straight to slip. Not a good option at all, at least go straight. 16/2
7.2 to H Masakadza, given out lbw. Masakadza reviews. Doesn't look like bat or glove. This could come down to just impact. It's full outside off, Masakadza chooses to sweep but doesn't make contact, I think. Multiple replays to see if there is some glove. It's mighty close. Does it just flick it? Can't really tell, one way or another. So that can't be overturned on that aspect. UltraEdge or Snick or some kind would have done the job perfectly. But that debate is for another time. Three reds on HawkEye. And they're three down already.. 17/3
17.3 to SC Williams, surprise, surprise. Just kidding. That was on the cards. That's sensational bowling. Tossed up outside off, lulls Williams into a drive. He has been scoring there all session long. So why not this time? He drives and Herath's wiles take that ball ripping through bat and pad. Knocks into the stumps. This is Test cricket, setting him up with several drifty deliveries and then gets one to spin. How does he do it?. 59/5
83.2 to Sikandar Raza, oh, dear! That's another wicket gone to the wrong shot selection. Raza played so well and he has given it away with a poor shot. Gets down for a reverse sweep but this is a slider, loops up on middle and leg and refuses to turn. Just comes on with the arm to beat the bat and crash into the stumps. Raza walks off to a well-deserved ovation from his team-mates, and it's the 31st five-wicket haul for Herath in Tests. 306/8
107.1 to AG Cremer, that's the end. Good length at middle stump. Holds its line after sitting in the pitch and climbs on him as he looks to paddle it. Gets a glove that bobbles behind the keeper and slip is around to finish the catch and the innings. 377/10
3029533.161166000
8.3 to CR Ervine, another one. Zimbabwe go to lunch at 23 for 4. Not a good stroke at all. Flat and wide outside off, Dilruwan gets some turn. Ervine has a poke at that, and just dabs it straight to slip. Tried to pull out of the stroke late, but at this level, your decision-making ability has to be quicker and just better. Ervine's is not in this instance. A half-leave, half-dab results in sooo much pressure after lunch.. 23/4
76.6 to MN Waller, oh no, what have you done. Awful, awful shot from Waller. Raza can't believe it at the other end. Short ball, down leg side and he decides to take it on. Decides late. Cramps himself a bit, tries to put it too hard, lobs an easy one for Tharanga at deep midwicket. End of a crucial innings. He's brought Zimbabwe close to glory, but he'll be disappointed for giving Sri Lanka a sniff. 289/7
102.2 to DT Tiripano, plumb. Tiripano was in a hurry. Back of a length at off stump. Looks to go deep and whip this into the leg side, unlike all the patience he has shown till then. Declaration around the corner, surely. A good knock from him, he's added bonus runs to Zimbabwe's target of 350 at the start of the day. Can't get bat on this in front of the stumps though. 361/9
2037213.60846031
41.1 to PJ Moor, Kumara returns and provides SL with the breakthrough! He roars and is flanked by his captain. This was dug in short on off stump, 137.1ks, Moor does not need a second invitation to pull. But square leg isn't on the boundary. He is about 20 metres in, Moor hits it straight into the lap of Danushka, who is subbing for Asela. Moor sinks to his knees and drags himself off the field. Was the leg-side trap a plan from Chandimal and Kumara?. 145/6

32.1 to FDM Karunaratne, this is unbelievable! Have they flown in a pitch specifically for this ball? Oh, huge turn from outside off. It's a short ball. Dimuth doesn't want to play a loose shot. He's done nothing wrong. Wants to leave this wide one and take a breath before the next ball. Instead, he watches this rip into him ferociously and hit the top of off!. 108/2
92.4 to N Dickwella, Dickwella ventures a reverse sweep and gloves it behind. Chakabva clings onto this chance. This was liberally tossed up outside off, breaks back in from the rough with extra bounce, foiling Dickwella's attempt to dink it away fine. Loops off the glove and Chakabva makes amends this time. Zimbabwe still have some hope. Dickwella falls for a career-best 81. 324/6
48615043.1219012100
19.2 to WU Tharanga, got him! Tossed up from over the wicket, middle stump line. Rises on him as he looks to turn it into the leg side. Inside edge onto thigh guard, lobs to backward short leg. The good balls are coming rarely, but the field was perfect for this one. 58/1
37.1 to LD Chandimal, edged and taken. Sri Lanka in all sorts of trouble. And it's Cremer again. Draws the batsman forward with a nicely looped up length ball. Chandimal pushes forward and gets a thick outside edge that just about escapes past the right of the keeper's glove but not the waiting hands of first slip. 133/3
53.3 to BKG Mendis, oh, goodness! Mendis, what have you done! Mendis can't believe himself nor can anyone at the ground. Stunned silence. Mendis gets down for a sweep. It's quite full and Mendis probably intended to go squarer. Ends up shovelling it and the ball lobs to the right of mid-on off the top-edge. Massive, massive blow for Sri Lanka. If they lose this, Mendis isn't going to sleep for a few night. Williams didn't pick the ball initially but manages to make the adjustment and run to his right to snaffle it. 178/4
61.4 to AD Mathews, oh, dear! That's as soft a dismissal as you'll ever see. Catching practice for Cremer and the Zimbabwe captain has his fourth wicket. It's a nothing full ball, harmless as they come, and all Mathews does is chip a lazy drive straight back to the bowler. Both overnight batsmen dismissed now. 203/5
