A wicketkeeper-batsman from Warrnambool in country Victoria, Tim Ludeman switched to South Australia during the 2009 off-season. He had spent a couple of years behind Matthew Wade and Adam Crosthwaite in Victoria's ranks and his move paid off early in the 2009-10 season. Graham Manou was called into Australia's ODI side and Ludeman stepped into the South Australia team. He ended up appearing in six Sheffield Shield games - Manou also picked up a knee injury - and three FR Cup fixtures, with the highlights being a couple of first-class half-centuries against Victoria and New South Wales. In 2007-08, he was named as the gloveman in Victoria's grade cricket team of the season and he also represented his home state in under-age sides.
