Australia v West Indies Test and one-day series
Though one-sided in recent years, the Frank Worrell Trophy is one of cricket's most cherished rivalries. Series between West Indies and Australia stretch back to 1933, when a team that included George Headley visited Australia. A solitary win in 1965 under Gary Sobers was West Indies' only success until 1977-78, when West Indies began their period of unrivalled dominance, winning eight and drawing one of the next nine series. By 1995, West Indies were no longer the team of old and Australia triumphed with Glenn McGrath announcing himself on the world stage.
Since then the battles have gone mostly to Australia who have lost just five Tests. West Indies' finest moments came in the thrilling 2-2 draw in 1999 when they were inspired by Brian Lara and the world-record run-chase of 418 in Antigua during 2003.
