Scorecard
The Sylhet Royals, playing for pride, recorded back-to-back wins, beating Chittagong Kings by 35 runs in Mirpur. The in-form Kamran Akmal scored yet another fifty, but he was outscored by Peter Trego, who batted through the innings for 68. Sohail Tanvir delivered yet again with the ball with a three-wicket haul to seal another comprehensive win.
Trego and Akmal laid a solid platform with an opening stand of 97. Akmal made 53 off 37 balls with four sixes. Trego and Scott Styris then combined to take Sylhet to a competitive score. Trego, who's had a good tournament with the bat, hit six fours in his knock.
Tanvir's early strike and two run-outs dented Chittagong's chase, as they lost half their side for 58 by the tenth over. Mahmudullah and Ziaur Rehman added 55 for the sixth wicket but Chittagong failed to match the asking rate. Tanvir took out two more wickets to finish with good figures of 3 for 18, to go with his four-for from the previous game.
The winning captain, Alok Kapali, however, was fined BDT 15,000 for turning up late for the toss and for failing to submit the team list on time in the match against Duronto Rajshahi on Friday.
