England in Bangladesh Test Series - 1st Test

Bangladesh v England

England won by 181 runs

Overs 1-50  | Overs 51-100

37.3

Swann to Shahadat Hossain, no run, tapped nervously in to the leg side

37.4

Swann to Shahadat Hossain, no run, rocks back to defend, not much turn on that one, but if it does turn he might be in trouble

37.5

Swann to Shahadat Hossain, no run, big appeal! The ball was very full, Shahadat leaned forward to defend and the ball appeared to bounce up off his foot to be caught by Cook under the helmet on the off side. They've gone to the third umpire to check it out. It looks safe from front on, but out from the reverse angle... taking a really, really long time to decide this one. But rightfully given not out in the end. There was just too much doubt there, the ball came off the inside edge, hit the ground, the boot, and then looped up. Tense stuff!

Bangladesh 154/5   Shahadat Hossain 0* (10b)

40.6

Broad to Shahadat Hossain, no run, back of a length, defended into the covers...the pitch still looks very good for batting, not much there for the quicks

Broad to Shahadat Hossain, FOUR, that's a true tailender's shot, backs away to leg and slogs this in the air through mid off...good swinging

42.6

Broad to Shahadat Hossain, no run, clever response from Broad, goes full with a slower ball outside off...Shahadat was expecting another short, quick delivery and has a flat-footed poke

44.4

Broad to Shahadat Hossain, no run, this one goes over his back as he ducks underneath

44.5

47.4

Bresnan to Shahadat Hossain, no run, well, that's bizarre...the ball comes off Shahadat's shoulder and Prior drops the 'catch', but Rod Tucker gives him out before reversing the decision having noticed the ball wasn't taken...but it would have been an incorrect 'out' call anyway.

47.7

Bresnan to Shahadat Hossain, 2 runs

Bangladesh 176/6   Shahadat Hossain 12* (32b 2x4)

50.1

Finn to Shahadat Hossain, 2 runs, backs away to leg and launches this high over the covers...Carberry chases it down near the boundary

50.2

Finn to Shahadat Hossain, no run, pitched up outside off, playing well away from his body, exposing all three stumps, and doesn't get close to making contact
