A medium-fast bowler and aggressive lower order batsman, Brett Hutton is an England Under-19 international who made his first-class debut at the start of the 2011 season in the Champion County match against MCC in Abu Dhabi and appeared in two limited overs matches for Nottinghamshire in 2011. Hutton's strong performances in five Under-19 one-day internationals against South Africa in 2011 summer earned him a place on winter trips to Bangladesh and Australia, and to the Under-19 World Cup in Australia in 2012, where he scored 55 batting at No. 9 in a warm-up match against Zimbabwe and took five wickets at 23.20 as England finished fifth in the competition proper.
