3.4 to HM Amla, bowled'im. Boult dropped Amla. He has taken out Amla. Follows that bouncer up with a full swinging delivery. No feet from Amla. He drives away from the body, giving the ball time to swing back in. The ball takes the inside edge, and cannons into the middle stump. Eden Park has come alive again. What a start to the match. 21/1
7.5 to Q de Kock, Nervous de Kock has found third man to perfection. New Zealand have been all over him, he has been dropped once, but now that the ball has just about stopped swinging, de Kock has thrown it away. Jumps at a full ball from Boult, makes a little too much room, swings hard, gets a thick edge, and Southee doesn't have to move at ll. Boult has now gone past Geoff Allott's record for most wickets by a NZer in a single World Cup. 31/2

26.1 to RR Rossouw, did anybody say partnership breaker? There is something about Corey. This is a bit of a heavy ball. Rossouw looks to punch this shortish ball, but the extra bounce means it has hit the shoulder of the bat. Guptill at backward point times his jump perfectly to take this one-handed over his head and to his right. A timely wicket for NZ. 114/3
38.2 to F du Plessis, bouncer down the leg side, called a wide despite the half shout for a catch at the wicket. New Zealand have reviewed it. Nigel Llong, the umpire, is interested in the glove as du Plessis pulls. And rightly so, because there is a big deflection off the glove. Snicko has registered a spike too. Du Plessis is a goner. "I have got clear evidence that the ball has touched the glove. I'd like you to reverse your original decision," Llong tells Ian Gould. 217/4
42.2 to DA Miller, he won't get the fastest WC fifty. He won't get the fifty. Miller has backed away a bit to far, Anderson pushes it across again, and he draws the outside edge. Miller has played an excellent hand, though. This has been a capsule-sized annihilation of the attack. 272/5

40.1 to L Ronchi, he has picked out deep midwicket. This is just a length ball, and he has just played an instinctive aerial flick across the line. A nothing shot really, and he has found deep midwicket to perfection. A forgettable night for Ronchi. Dropped de Kock, wasn't great with his collections. Steyn meanwhile is pumped up. South Africa might have their noses ahead here. 269/6

6.1 to BB McCullum, and McCullum is gone. Moving bowlers around has worked. Morkel bowls that awkward length with McCullum charging down the wicket. He is cramped for room as he swings. Doesn't time it at all, and fails to keep it down. Steyn, just taken out of the attack, takes it at mid-on. 71/1
8.5 to KS Williamson, Morkel has turned this game around. He has taken two of New Zealand's best batsmen out. Morkel stays short, Williamson looks to pull, the shot is on, but the ball doesn't quite come on, and the bottom edge cannons into the stumps. 81/2
37.6 to CJ Anderson, Morkel has brought them back. Faf du Plesiss was never dropping this. South Africa roar. New Zealand slipping at the last hurdle? This has been a superb over by Morkel. Short of a length, around off, the ball gets big on him as he pulls. The top edge is massive. Kisses the moon before it comes back down. Du Plessis takes a lovely safe catch at square leg. Lets out a roar. But hold on. They are checking if this has kissed the spider cam wire on the way down. If it touches, we have a dead ball folks. The replays are inconclusive. In the dark sky with black cables it is hard to tell, and he is asked to walk on. What a farce it is that we have the spidercam. Encroaching upon the playing area. Has a farce been avoided narrowly? Conversation with the third umpire not relayed this time. How transparent. 252/5

21.4 to LRPL Taylor, oh he has produced the massive wicket. South Africa have brought all the luck today. This is a soft dismissal. The second in a row. Fires this offbreak into the pads, Taylor looks to shuffle across and work this to leg, but he has moved too far across, and has edged it to de Kock, who takes a superb catch. Looking at that catch, there is no luck involved there. This is brilliant because the deflection is big. 149/4
